Packing For London n' Rome n' Milano n' .....

I can't seem to make my mind about whether should I pack this Chanel brown tweed tall boots or Miu Miu studded sandal w/ me for our upcoming Europe trip.  It is family leisure solely and I am not attending any fashion event after all. Besides, I can always find something there, can't I!! Wedge, sneakers and boots are probably more practical!

How do I prepare my ensemble?
I sometimes doodle~~ (not so professional but intuitive enough for me to foresee the look!)



I can pair turtle necklace, white knit sweater.... n' a pair of Converse sneakers to complete this look!

The Rave of Digital Print .... in High Fashion!!

I bought Digital printed modal short sleeve oversized T-Shirt dress from Michael Angel. All of his design is so wearable!!

You know what Digital Print is?? 

Ans: Digital printing is very similar to the laser printer that we all use at home.  But it is faster n' cheaper than screen print which use patterns to do layer by layer printing. Digital printing also gives the designers more freedom.  They are able to come up with a lot more patterns and designs because it is so cheap and easy to do. 

Digital printing is one of Roberto Cavalli's new invention. There are a lot of designers who uses digital print technique the past couple years such as Stella McCartney, Basso and Brooke..just to name a few here.


The result look on clothes: The colors, even on a single dress, were so varied as to defy description. The more closely one looked, the more gradations one saw. The contrasting patterns and colors gave each piece a unique feel, and the patterns seemed to undulate as the models walked...(complete article: The Independent:Fashion)

Only ME Style!!

I was talking on the phone w/ my dear friend, Isabel, the other day. She told me that I am the only person she knows that have the "highest tolerant threshold" among her friends. 

What does she mean by that?

1. I have 3 young children and never had ONE single nanny's help. (Thanks to my DH and my training skill for men for sharing house chores. hah........)

2. She thinks I never get tired of dressing myself up cause' having 3 kids seems doesn't bother me at all. 

3. I mix-n'-match clothes the best........ what she really means is when I get bored w/ summer clothes, I start wearing fall or winter clothes and vice versa.  And it seems I withstand any circumstance of weather condition. ^O^ ha ... ha.... ha.... Thanks to the nice weather in California!!


4. Always so energetically driving up to SF city at least ONCE a week by myself.  I must say, I feel I am suffocated living in the suburban. :P

Then, there I know myself even better!! I am a control-eccentric. I don't trust people when I can do things on my own .... (are you like me too?!!) haha.....


Weekend is always family time as I said before. 

Why shop at Vintage store when you know you have clothes which you had long forgotten about!! ( I know, when you spend too much and vintage shop might be the best bargain for designer clothes.)

Winter Wardrobe Essential -> Leather Jacket + In Season Boots!!

Do you have the experience that you would pair certain bag w/ certain pair of shoes? You must do!! Most people like to pair the same color spectrum bag w/ the same color/or color spectrum shoes which is a very conservative look even thought it is not so fun at all!! But at least you can never go wrong w/ your look pairing that way!!!


Me, I tend to pair certain jacket w/ certain shoes or to be specific, I like to pair certain LOOK w/ certain shoes!!! They are not necessarily the same color and I tend to avoid wearing the same color of bag w/ the same color of shoes!  I don't know why, maybe it is because I never think of what color of bags or shoes I have already when I buy them so I can hardly find same color bag w/ shoes in my wardrobe!!! :)


Here is my ODJ and I pair my Helmut Lang leather jacket w/ Joie over the knee high boots again! Meanwhile, after being bored w/ my hair style, I decided not comb it at all and just use Shu Uemera hair gel to give my hair a little volume. 

I use Lara Mercier gold n' black eye pencil for lower eyeliner to do a little smoky eyes. For my top eye lid, I use a brand bought from Target, a little brown n' a little beige smudge them together!!

We have a birthday party in SF city at 10 Am and I never get up at 8:00 AM on Saturdays until today!!!! lol

 

I am sure you saw all these pieces already, and I must say that Zara floral top w/ ruffle in front is a true beauty as it never stop surprising me w/ its so feminine and flirty look!! 



I twisted 2 of J Crew Tiered crystal libretto necklaces of clear glass n' onyx w/ rose-gold together for a voluminous look on me. 

The Birthday party is at Randall Museum in SF city. They have Magic Show for kids today. 

I will leave the details of inside the museum for moms/kids to explore in the future!

I can't get over w/ the most beautiful snake I have ever seen!! Those blue, brown, black strips looks like someone painted on her. 

I forgot what's this but what's so special about this reptile is her tough is BLUE and that's where she got her name by!!! lol

Christmas Tree For Every Christmas!!

We put up our Christmas tree last Friday and that just reminds me to get an ornament which has the year of "2009" engraved on it.  We bought this Christmas tree from Pottery Barn in 2006 and there was one year "2007" missing that we didn't celebrate Christmas in USA.


This Christmas tree serves not just a holiday representation in our house, it is also a journal for us family since we would add ornaments on it every single year. Last year, I had a special gift prepared for my guests who can guess right or have the closest number of how many ornaments on our Christmas tree!!! You know, it is so fun that every household would come up different numbers, adults and kids and they might fight for the number of who would guess it closer!! hah.... I did that on purpose since I kinda of want my guests to pay attention on our Christmas tree which we really put effort on decorating it!! So if you ever be my guests on Christmas, please do comment on it and we'd be very happy!! :)


I have been busy since my parents are visiting from Taiwan. They spend so much time playing w/ their grandchildren and I am happy that my kids can still speak Mandarin very fluently w/ them.
