Perk Card!! Make a Great Use Out Of It!!

I double-wear my Chanel necklace.

I received couple Perk Cards from NM loaded w/ $50 at least 3 times and never had the chance to spend it!!

Finally, my mommy friend, Irene and I get together today and decide to make a good use of our perk cards, total worth $100!!! In fact, we all had a great lunch/time in Neiman Marcus!!!

My kids are learning the differences of spider and spider net. hahah..
In our house, even Ilona (my 2 years old daughter) snaps the spider. She thinks spiders are bad insects!! lol

Today, I am very proud of all the kids as we have a compliment from two ladies sitting next to our table. She said that all the kids are well-behaved!!

( I still hope people would give moms a break sometimes when kids are acting all fussy in public. They are just kids and we are human. :P)

Maybe NM can have a small designated reading area for kids!!
They want moms enjoy shopping children clothes there after all, right?!!

My ODJ.

Irene's son is going to have a little brother in 2010!!!! Congrats!!!!

I had to change back to a single layer of Chanel necklace for this look.

We spent the whole afternoon at Stanford shopping center, I shed off my tweed jacket and heels to give my feet a break!!

Dania Ramirez: New Face of Covergirl Cosmetics!

Hi Beauties!
News Update:

Dania Ramirez has been selected to be the new face of Covergirl Cosmetics!

These news are very exciting to me because not only is Ms. Ramirez a drop-dead gorgeous Woman of Color but she is a fellow Dominican!
Dania was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on November 8, 1979 where she developed a passion for acting at a very early age. Today, she is best know for her acting roles in the last season of the Sopranos (HBO), on the TV series Heroes and her role on the X-Men: The Last.

Covergirl Cosmetics through the years has done a great job of selecting a wide variety of ethnically-diverse women to represent their brand. The list of inpirational women is quite extensive and includes other celebrities such as Rihanna, Ellen Degeneres, Queen Latifah, Brandy, Tyra Banks, Faith Hill, Drew Barrymore and others.

Covergirl was founded in 1958 but it wasn't until they launched their "easy, breezy, beautiful Covergirl" ad campaign that the brand became a household staple.

Very Exciting! Congrats to Dania and Latinas allover the world!

XOXO,
Awilda

Yet more great products from Liz Earle

I was so excited to receive these two (full size!) products from Lucy at Liz Earle to test out and given that I'm a big fan of the brand (as you all well know by now!), I couldn't wait to get started.

Lucy sent me Liz Earle Foot Scrub, which contains natural pumice to exfoliate the rough skin on your feet to leave them smooth and soft. It also contains avocado and wheatgerm oils, which are rich in vitamin E. The Peppermint and Rosemary essential oils in this scrub make it a pleasure to use and your feet end up smelling really fresh. I am a high heel addict so I really need to make sure that I take care of my feet or they would start to look like something manky out of Lord of The Rings! Lucy also sent their peppermint-scented Foot Repair Moisturiser which uses a blend of shea butter, wheatgerm oil and avocado oil for super soft skin.

I started off by using my lovely pink PedEgg to smooth down my feet, then I dampened my tootsies and applied the scrub, concentrating on my heels and any other particularly dry spots. Once I had dried my feet off, I applied the foot cream. The first thing I noticed was the lovely smell and that it sinks in really fast (I hate foot cream that leaves your feet all greasy and just seems to sit on the surface of the skin...I have wooden floors in my flat so there have been some slippage incidents!). I popped on some 100% cotton socks and went to bed. The cream contains peppermint, rosemary and 7 other essential oils and you can really feel the benefit of them the day after. I woke up with lovely soft skin on my feet and they looked like they had never even seen a high heel!

They have a seclection of products in John Lewis stores if you fancy checking it out in the flesh (or plastic as it were). For all you girlies across the water, Liz Earle have a US website us.lizearle.com where US customers can buy in dollars and I know that a selection of their products can be found in Studio in LA and Browns in Miami.

To summarise, I always have high expectations of Liz Earle products and these two beauties didn't let me down. They were a pleasure to use and given that they have organic ingredients, you always feel like you're really doing your body a favour. I will be parading my feet with pride now (much to the digust of my fiance who has a weird foot phobia!ha ha)
