Milan Spring/Summer 2010 Collections Runway Videos!!!

Ciao Milano!Donatella's Twin: A look from Versace Spring/Summer 2010

The Spring/Summer 2010 Collections just finished in Milan and now the world's press and fashionistas have moved on to Paris, the City of Lights. I love checking out all the latest collections. I especially love looking at the actual runway videos (when I find them!). While I'm doing this, I feel, well, why not share with my Blog "peeps"? I can't enjoy this all by myself naturally. Here are some highlights:

Versace:Pretty in Pink: One of My Favorite Gowns from Versace Spring/Summer 2010

Donatella Versace
sent out a slew of GLAMAZONIAN versions of herself for Spring/Summer 2010. It was a feast for the eyes: Bright canary yellows, potent hues of pink, green and anything in between. Kaleidoscopic transparent prints. Stretch jerseys and fluid silks. Russian Arms Dealer's Mistress: Only Donatella would send this down the runway--Love it!

It seems that with this collection Donatella is embracing what a lot of people already think of Versace clothing: It's SO PERFECT for that Russian Arms Dealer's Mistress. And to that, I raise a shot...or two...of Vodka!

Dolce and Gabbana:
Open Your Heart: Lingerie Cocktail Dress, Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2010

Domenico Dolce
and Stefano Gabbana, also seem to have gone back to their "roots". Sending down an almost "retro" Dolce and Gabbana Collection, inspired by black and white photos of Isabella Rosselini, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Madonna; to name just a few. It was as if a Peter Lindbergh Vogue photograph came to life. Every look had those famous under-corsets. They played with masculine and feminine, as they always do, as well as Seville, Argentina and all things "Latino". Gaucho Grill: A tailored suit from Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2010

They sent out an androgynous tailored black suit one minute and a Sicilian "lady-of-the-evening" leaving her client's home at 6 AM the next. Lots of blacks, white laces and lipstick-red prints. For Spring/Summer 2010 the Dolce and Gabbana girl is going to Southern Italy--and she's going to steal your husband!

Day 2 Blazer + Leggings w/ Kay Park Gray Blazer!

Here are my 2 new fab. find: Kay Park gray tuxedo coat & Hudson black skinny jeans!!

Today, I took my in-laws to SF city for lunch impulsively. I am just tired of all the restaurants here in the bay area and really want to try something new. The regular price of half lobster w/ egg noodles in the restaurant here is about $34. lol It is just insane!! However, for that much of money we can have 2 plates of the same thing in the Chinese restaurant in SF city. :)

We went to Happy Garden in Clement & 9th st. Thanks to my friend, Renee, took me there for the first time.

My friend, Renee, in her gorgy leather vest.
We went to Yoshi (Live Jazz n' Japanese restaurant), and Ruby sky together last Sat. after my acting class.

We are off to get the best pearl milk tea in 19th st after lunch.

This is so not-everyone-is-the-same blazer w/ that unique shoulder details.

peek-a-boo shoulder!

My ODJ.

1. TOP:
  • Vince blue tank
  • BP fishnet t-shirt
  • Kay Park gray tuxedo blazer w/ shoulder details
2. Bottom: Hudson stretchable black skinny jeans w/ pockets at bottom
3. Accessory:
  • Hermes white Collier De Chien w/ gold studs
  • Chanel matte white reissue in 227
4. Shoes: Hermes black riding boots w/ Kelly locks

I had to share w/ you fab. girls about this fab. Hudson jeans.

I am really reluctant to get black jeans since they are so ordinary which simply serves the same purpose like black leggings to me. But I instantly want this Hudson jeans after trying it on.

Reason?

Simply.....they give me butt!!!! And the price is so reasonable IMO, $156 or so!!!

I tried so many leggings but they only flatten my butt instead of up-lifting them..... :9, most w/ pockets doesn't really help since they are also flat pockets. :(

I have HIP, from the front and back view w/ wide hip bone but since I am skinny, there is not much I can do about my bottom to create a side view. :P Ok, maybe Power Yoga do help a bit but not much. :P

So if you are skinny and have obvious side curve on your butt, you are lucky w/ perfect inherited gene. I have to say: You, lucky girl!! :P

Those pockets w/ fold-over buttons gives a delusion at rear w/o looking saggy.

Most importantly, the pockets are at the right place....... BUTT!!!

This Hudson jeans fits so true to the size and stretchable...so just pick the smallest size you have in your entire jeans collection.

Say, if you can squeeze yourself in a size of 25 jeans, then go for it!!!!! :)

So when I am busy doing my photo shooting, two daughters of mine are having swing fun in our back yard!!

It looks like I am wearing a parachute on my shoulder in that photo. hahaha..

That's a funny face of me. :)

I don't know if I would wear blazer w/ leggings to my acting class since I am still trying to find out the best look of me ON CAMERA. hah!

Have a nice weekend, girls!!!

Project Runway Recaps--Nick Verreos' Thoughts on Disco Pumpkins and Loofah Bridesmaid Dresses!

What Does THIS:And THIS:
Have To Do With THIS?(The Dress is Bad Enough but...What are Those Shoes??)

Read On Kiddies:

Another week, another Project Runway episode. This week's team challenge was to design looks entirely in blue (Ummm, OK), for the Macy's in-house brand INC, International Concepts. OK, so this was going to be an hour-long commercial for Macy's and INC, no surprise there. Listen Girl! Discussing Santino's vision during our Banana Republic Challenge

They do this every season--remember back in mine, it was Banana Republic (God, I hate these Team Challenges, it brings back stomach-turning memories!). As you can tell--even from the photo above--I was not trying to have it, hear it, or even deal with it (look at that limp wrist!) when I was Santino's "schlepper", I mean co-designer during our team challenge.

Split At Birth: Christopher's Design and Ronald McDonald

--Michael Kors Must Have Not Had A Good NY-LA flight: We love Ms. Kors' zingers! You know he must have NOT had a good First Class flight 'cause when he arrived on the set, he was READY TO GO OFF!!!!
--Clown Muse: The Ronald McDonald Clown does not make for a good muse Christopher.
--Downtown LA Loofah Dress, Available from Louise.com: How did Louise's loofah from her apartment shower end up on her dress?

FOTD

Today I wanted to play around with my makeup. Since I have been obsessed with warm purples and plums lately, I thought I would do a more dramatic version of the last look I posted. I love these colours for green eyes :).

Face: Dior Forever Foundation spf 25 (I love the way this really grabs on to your skin and stays all day)
Copious amounts of MUFE concealer (because it is that time we all know and loathe, when my skin just hates me!)
MAC MSF natural
NARS Laguna
MAC well dressed blush (my all time favourite)

Eyes: MAC painterly paint pot as base
MAC e/s dazzlelight on the lid, shale in the crease, with fig1 and beauty marked to deepen crease and on lower lashline, vapour as highlight
MAC blacktrack fluidline
Lancome Hypnose mascara
(If anyone has tried the new one please let me know what you think).

Lips:
ArtDeco lip primer (love this and review coming soon)
L'Oreal Contour parfait lipliner in rose vintage 668
MAC Creme cup l/s

What do you guys think? Is this too dramatic for the day, or do you love mixing it up with smokey eyes every now and again?
