So it is that the Dutch industrial designer – known for everything from his “Happy Hour” Chandelier to his futuresonic way with old Delft porcelain, and for co-founding now-iconic design collective Droog AND the amusing, classicism-meets-futurism objects of his own group, Moooi (from the Dutch word for “beauty,” but with an extra “o” for extra-beautiful!) – wandered HERE…It had to be! M∙A∙C partners with Marcel Wanders – his first foray into the world of cosmetics – and design sophisticates (and people with innate and irreverent tastes) will be bonkers for these limited-edition Lipstick, Lip Gloss, Sheer Mystery Powder, Air of Style Scent Concentrate, and his signature brush and clutch creations, not least of all for their arresting packaging – fine collectors’ items all! But also for the rich palette, inspired by 17th-century Flemish painting, and particularly, Vermeer – “The Girl With a Pearl Earring” – and the idea of an artist painting a portrait, and falling in love. “Always, with a sense of love in the product…” he says. I'm really feeling the packaging on this collection. It looks more elevated and would make great Christmas gifts for anyone!

In Rome - Part II. Plus Local Vintage stores.

In Day 3 of Rome, we visited Musei Del Vaticano, Basilica Papale di San pietro, Piazza San Pietro and Castello di Sant' Angelo. Also, I would suggest check in the stroller if your children is at least 2 1/2 or 3 years older that they really can just walk on their own. It would be a hassle to push stroller around in the museum.

I wore shorts when we visited Vaticano and Piazza San Pietro, that all the guards/staffs looked at me, then my legs then...... they talked to each other... which I can't hear nor understand a word at all. I think I am famous...hahahahahhaah.... However, technically, I am not exposed whatsoever!!

( PS. If you take Metro A and get off at Cipro Musei Vaticani which only 5 mins or so away from the museum. A lot of tourists get off from Ottaviano San Pietro which is one stop ahead of Cipro would take at least 10 mins to walk to Museum. And we visit our way from Museum back to Piazza San Pietro.)

Let's take a break from all the Must-see in Rome, shall we?! 

What's my must find is ... local stuff, those hidden jewels or lost treasure. 

We left the sacred churches around 5:30 PM which also leaves us some time to walk around the local alley whilst heading to Piazza Navona. 

Wherever there is fashion (Vintage is old fashion?), there is my smile!! hahaha. ..... lol.

The leather triangular (side view) suitcase is so unique that there are two metal clasps on top. (Euro 75)

If you walk further down, there are couple more vintage stores in the alley.

None of things are for sale in this glasses case....darn* I love all those Saint Yves Laurent sunglasses in the middle which is so similar to my Balenciaga in terms of the shapes. 


 
haha.. Obviously, Europe people do queueing. And since they'd queue for good "pizza", I'd wonder if they also queue for Lanvin for HM. ^O^

Then I am so happy that I found my most wanted hat ---- well, can't believe it is GAP 05/Fall.  (Euro 15) ^O^


The owner of this store says that she has everything from America, the RL shirt and Levis jeans while I told her that I had my outfit made in Italy missoni collar and M missoni sweater!!! lol.

Pretty embellishment. 



A lot of those appliques' looks are from circa 1760. 


They restore vintage applique and redesign them. You also can have your thong sandals made to order for your feet. (see the triangular chain?!) It is hard to resist this meticulous level of craftsmanship.



This guy has the most amazing hands that he made all these metal chain necklaces/earrings from his own vision/design. 
(I am not supposed to take picture of his "works".  There are two other guys who standing in line for pizza originally jump right out to stop me while I snap the photo.....my..... scared the he** out of me. :P)  



Interesting~~ and lovely caramel boots.
