Chanel PVC Flip Flops!!

 

Isabel and I were arguing about Chanel's PVC flip flops, about which color combination would either worth the money or at least buying a pair to work better w/ every outfit!!! (Obviously, I was the rebel who denies to throw $345 for a pair of plastic!!)


After happily wearing her black sole w/ white camellia flip flops, she wants another pair.  

Not to my surprises!!! 
Why? 

I believe her that living in Southern California, flip flops and racer tanks are the most hip everyday-wear. ^O^ (I mean when you don't have to physically show in the office.) 


Another friend of hers, Fiona, was arguing about how black sole and black camellia look like LEATHER to her (not like the one of GRAY w/ sparkled camellia she owned from past season). Therefore, buying another pair of "faux-leather-looking" Chanel camellia flip flop is her justification to make things right!!! ^O^


Anyhow, I still like my rose Chanel camellia way better....in my philosophy, as long as I like something, I'd promise myself to make best use of it!!

They think rose camellia flip flop couldn't be balanced in a dark ensemble!!..... What do you think?!!

I kinda like this pair of white "CC" and lizard skin (like) royal blue combi. sandals!!

I think the only differences between black and pastel or jellies camellia flip flops is that "pedicure" is a MUST for pastel and jellies ones!!

I would say rose camellia plays perfectly in a role of feminine to soften this edgy look!!

Yu and I both bought a WHITE aviator sunglasses yesterday but hers is different.

The Makeup Show NYC Haul & Review Of My Experience

Hi Beauties!

As promised, I wanted to post the few things that I picked up at the Makeup Show NYC. Since this was my first time participating in the Makeup Show, I was a little overwhelmed with the selections and the amount of people at the show. From what I understand, the show has grown trememndously since last year with a lot more people attending. Congrats to the Powder Group on continued success!!

The vendors at the show included almost everyone from the usual suspects (MAC, Make Up For Ever, Smashbox, Stila, Inglot, Temptu, Kett, Crown Brushes, Eve Pearl, Alcone Co) as well as newer up and coming brands (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics and others).

I found that the prices of the products were fairly priced or discounted. I think that I'd like to prepare better for the next years show and hold on buying makeup for a few months prior to the show and then clean up. LOL

I did not have chance to attend any of the seminars by the Pro artists. Next year I will also allow time for that.

Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez wears Nick Verreos for Orbit Gum Gown!

Tonight, while I was hosting my Macy's "Sex And The City 2" event at the Macy's Union Square in San Francisco, another fabulous event was happening on the other side of the country: The People En Español Magazine's "50 Mas Bellos" (50 Most Beautiful People) Gala in New York City! Two weeks ago, I was commissioned by ORBIT GUM to design and create a red carpet gown--inspired by one of the chic new ORBIT GUM Wrappers--for the MOST GORGEOUS: Stefania Fernadez, Miss Universe 2009, from the country I was raised in: Venezuela! And so yes, tonight, Stefania stepped onto the "Mas Bellos" red carpet wearing my "Nick Verreos for Orbit" gown--a chiffon gown featuring a one-shouldered batwing sleeve, gathered and draped front with high side-slit and "mini" train. I sent Stefania several sketches of my designs for her to chose from and she decided on this very "Elizabeth Taylor-Meets-JLo in Capri" style which was actually one of my favorites that I sketched out (OK, it WAS my favorite!). Alongside my NIKOLAKI design partner David Paul, we collaborated in creating the design, and we also enlisted the aid of one of the BEST Fabric Printing Companies in Los Angeles (they also have offices in NY), First2Print, who were able to print the custom Orbit design.... onto 20 yards of chiffon in two days! (UNBELIEVABLE!). First2Print were AMAZING!!!
The results were FANTASTIC, if I don't say so myself (I just did!). I am so honored to have been asked to collaborate with Orbit Gum, once again, to create a red-carpet worthy gown and this time for my compatriota, the MOST BEAUTIFUL Stefania Fernadez, Miss Universe 2009.

My Favourite Lip Glosses

What's not to love about lip glosses? I always get mesmerised by the shine and shimmer of these products and I'm a total sucker for pinks, peaches and nudes, especially when they are shot with gold particles.  I like my lip glosses to be non-gritty, a nice consistency, reasonably long lasting and nicely fragranced.  All of these lip glosses live up to these specifications and I love them all.  I won't ramble on too much in this post as the pictures speak for themselves.  I hope you enjoy the post!

Sure, alot of the lip glosses I have are similar but as us girls know, each one looks slightly different on!  You will have to excuse the tatty condition of the Chanel lip gloss, but I've had it for a year or so now and since it's always rattling around in my handbag, it has taken a beating over time!  If I had to pick my top three glosses out of all the above products then it would have to be Mac Fashion Scoop, YSL Golden Gloss in no.10 and L'Occitane Rose Petale Lip Gloss.  I would highly recommend all of these!
