The Winner Is >>>>> .........

Today I went to my first acting class in SF city. I had an incredible 3 hours fun in class. I think I had learned a lot and I also obtained my first video clip w/ a monologue of myself. lol

After I got home, I was exhausted but at the meantime, I felt so "REAL" when playing w/ my kids and talking to my DH about my embarrassing moment at class today. I was literally practicing/memorizing my script the whole night while finally putting my kids to bed. I guess it has been a long while since the last time I got my brain all worked out like today!! :)

I must say, being a student, is the most memorable and happy thing in my life!

Tonight, I made my DH to do the random pick of the winner for BaTuCada white floral bracelet.
AND
The winner is ........

Congrats. Kristy, you are the winner of BaTucada bracelet. Yay!!! :)
Please let me know where would you want me to ship this bracelet.

If you didn't win this time, just stay tuned, maybe you are the next! :-)

Miss World Contest

Hey girls,

So the contest is now officially over. Thanks a million to everyone who made the effort to enter, I will be mulling over who should win over the weekend and will anounce Miss World on Monday and confirm what the prize will be. There will be two runners up and they will also get a prize each.

And for a quick recap of who entered...

Illamasqua

I got a lovely parcel today from Illamasqua and it's certainly a brand that everyone seems to be excited about. I can see why everyone loves the packaging, it's so sleek! They sent me their Satin Primer, Rich Liquid Foundation in RF210, Lipstick in Agony and Cream Eyeshadow in Hunger. I have swatched them in order below.

Since I love trying new primers, I couldn't wait to test out this one which promises to give a dewy effect. I applied it after my moisturiser and my first impression was that the primer was quite watery compared to the other ones I have used. When I applied it to my face, I noticed that it didn't fully blend in the way I wanted and my face felt a bit 'slippy'. This is never a god sign with a primer. I waited a few minutes but it didn't seem to sink in. So, I thought I would persevere and try to apply my foundation with my fingers as usual. This proved to be a real pain and my foundation just slid all over my face and didn't blend well at all. Kind of like if you tried to apply foundatio over sunscreen...it just won't work! My MAC MSF Natural powder kinda sopped up some of the slippiness but not enough for me to feel comfortable to wear the same makeup out tonight.

A primer really shouldn't be this much work and is supposed to make your life easier, not harder. I was really disappointed with this product as I've heard so much about the brand. I think I'll stick with MAC Strobe Liquid to create an illuminated dewy look.I will try out the other products and let you know what I think as sometimes not product ranges can have the odd dud and you shouldn't let it taint your opinion on the other products they offer.

The lipstick shade 'Agony'does look a little concealer-like but I'll see if I can make it work. I'm not sure if the foundation will be a good shade match but I'll give it a whirl.

Have you tried the primer before and if so, what did you think of it?
