Marmaris, Turkey

The bf and I have just spent a perfect week in the stunning Turkish sunshine. We chose a slightly more remote location between Icmeler and Marmaris (near where the Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet) so we could get the perfect balance of relaxing and exploring!

Since we booked a little last minute we decided to keep things simple with an all inclusive package, which ended up being the perfect choice. The food was amazing (lots of fresh vegetables, local fish and all the watermelon and cherries a girl could dream of) and the drinks flowed freely ;).

Dress: Motel, Bag: Primark, Sandals: New Look (now on sale for £7!!), Sunglasses: Fiorelli (now £30).

Our hotel was in a park/forest right by the sea, which not only made for a romantic stroll in the evening, but also ensured we made lots of new friends.. mosquito friends that feasted on me every night :(. Though I did make one more friend.. (just don't tell Maxie)!

Bikini: La Senza, Hat: Sisley, Sarong: Market, Flip-flops: Havaianas.

 

Dress and belt: Zara, Clutch: French Connection, Necklace: Banana Republic, Sandals: New Look (as before).

On our first day trip we went to the mud baths in Dalyan where we bathed in the sulphur pool (which smells just as tasty as you imagine) and then covered ourselves in mud safe in the knowledge that once it dried we would look 20 years younger ;). 

Goodbye bikini... you have served me well! Although I have outgrown you, you shall be fondly remembered :(.

We then sailed down the river to see the most amazing ruins - crypts carved into the limestone cliffs over 4000 years ago! Incredible!

On our second trip we went on a snorkeling cruise stopping at 7 different islands. The SPF 50 was in full force!

I couldn't leave you all without the ubiquitous jumping shot. Even if it is a super embarrassing one of me holding my nose lol... watch out Tom Daley ;).

With so many gorgeous swimsuits out this season I promised myself that I would wear one without feeling 'mumsy' in it. This one from Per Una definitely came in handy after all those generous buffets hehe!

For a night out dancing I chose this dress from Zara, which was an impulse purchase inspired by JLo's latest video. If you can't get away with a thigh high slit on holiday then where else? (Actually please don't answer that)!

We had such a lovely time in Turkey and were very hesitatnt to return home. Beautiful sunshine (45oC every day), clear waters, amazing history - we can't wait to go back!

Cat eyes and sheer, equals sheer amazing

This look is inspiring. While the 50's inspired 'cat eye' sunglasses ooze 50's glamour, and take us back to our vintage roots, this outfit combination screams nothing but the modern woman. Put a tuxedo-inspired shirt with a sheer black maxi and killer camel heels and you have yourself a look to be loved.

Man style we love

There is absolutely nothing better than a well dressed male... Whether it be a fitted blazer, a button-up shirt, bow tie, out-there scarf or tailored pants, mens fashion is just as relevent as women's. Love these photographs :)

I just arrived in Miami--one of my FAVORITE cities in the USA--as well as the World, just two days after returning from my two-week trip to Europe!! (yes, I am trying to rack up LOTS of Frequent Flyer Miles!) Why am I here, you may ask? Well, I am attending Univision's "Premios Juventud 2011" , the Spanish-speaking version of the "Teen Choice Awards", kind of...well, just a bit more FAB than those. The PJ's give awards for both music, TV, movies to winners that are voted on by the Spanish-speaking public.

As the Chica Orbit/Orbit Gum "Style Guy", I've been privileged enough to be invited for several years now with my ever-so-stylish girlfriend, the Chica Orbit. Every year, we have a BLAST walking the "Red Carpet" (sometimes it's purple, so it's not really red...) as well as attend the fun awards show. I've also designed and created custom dresses for Chica Orbit to wear at Premios Junevtud in the past which have been a big hit--and so fun to do!

Review of Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator

Phew! I'm back from my trip to Ireland and have been engulfed in the business since I got back.  The count down is on now for the business launch and as promised, I will keep you guys informed.  I will be posting on it in the next couple of weeks.  I also have a holiday clothes post planned for the next couple of days so stay tuned.

I'm sorry it's taken so long to post a review of this product but I really wanted to give it a few weeks before I could give an accurate and honest review.  Now you all know that I follow a meticulous skin regime and I'm always obsessed with improving or just maintaining the condition of my skin.  Although my skin overall is pretty good, I did have some discolouration and blemish scars when I started using this serum.

So after 4 weeks of applying the serum religiously every morning and night before my usual moisturiser, what were my thoughts? 

Well for starters, this serum is opalescent in appearance and contains brightening particles to instantly improve the radiance of your skin on application.  It's very light in consistency and absorbs with absolutely no oily residue so it can definitely be worn under make up without disturbing it.  I had blemish scars mainly on my forehead and around my mouth/chin area.  I felt like after the 4 weeks and judging by the before and after pics, these scars had faded considerably and the overall uniformity of colour in my face had improved.  This is definitely a good product for people looking to refine their skin texture and appearance.  Even though my skin is generally pretty good, this product just took it a step further and helped to prepare my skin for summer.  I will be a lot more confident about wearing lighter coverage products on holiday because my skin looks really good.

Any product that gives me more confidence in my skin is a thumbs up for me but just remember that you have to use this serum for 4 weeks + to see real results and it doesn't come cheap.  Don't expect miracles in a week or so because serums are generally products that have to be applied every day and for an extended period of time.  I would only recommend this serum if you have concerns about blemish scars, discolouration or rough skin texture.  I say this because there are loads of really good, wash-off illuminating products that produce instant results so if a lack of radiance is your only bug bear then these may be more appropriate for you.  I am going to continue to use this product because I'm loving my brighter, more even and smooth skin!
