Giorgio Armani Foundation.

My girl friends throw me a birthday party at xanh restaurant in Mt. View last Friday night. It was a last min. change of plan from going to SF city to celebrate on Sat. night originally. I guess I was aware of my acting class at SF city at 11 Am so I suddenly lost the interest of finding an outfit on Friday night. I don't quite satisfied what I had wore on Friday night but just think I can do better. :P

I am not sure if Yu feels the same thing since she didn't even have much make-ups on at that night. lol While Pei is looking pretty in her little dress I realized the pic. all came out funny since 3 of us had tremendous different looks w/ our make-ups. It is not that we don't look good, it is just seeing me did a perfect make-ups, Yu had her make-ups since that morning, and Pei's face is all red because of the cocktail she consumed when Yu and I arrived at the restaurant. hahahaha.....

So skip our pretty funny pic. here I'd love to share Giorgio Armani Foundation and Laura Mercier tinted moisture I used on that night. I love how perfect coverage the foundation gave me as well as the silkiness/lightness I blend it w/ Laura Mercier's moisture.

I applied MAC eye shadow in pearl around the corner of my tear gland!

If I don't thin out the Giorgio foundation, the look will be too matte which I hated!!

Xhan restaurant serves really tasty Vietnamese food but I can't seem to remember the name of the dishes we ordered. Guess I drank too fast of my raspberry Ocho cocktail. :)

Step Into Fall on Chloe Short Boots.

We visited Renee at SF city on Saturday. We had such a great time eating oyster raw and grilled right from the sea!! :)

We drove to SF city at 10 AM and had brunch at NM's cafe. When finally we get in touch w/ Renee it is almost 2 PM. Renee suggested us visiting Stinson beach where we can eat the freshest oysters. It is about 1 hr. and half north Sausalito city where has the most incredible Pacific ocean view.

We have to drive zigzag along the mountain and by the ocean. I almost felt the nausea if I didn't look ahead. *<*

Yah!!!! Here we are!!
Kids all love beach!

First, we sample some raw oysters.....my, they are so fishy!!!!

We sort of went there impromptu so we didn't bring any snack, drinks, or even tools when we really need some lime, hot sauce, oyster knife, garlic, soda.......etc. to enjoy the oysters "gracefully" and to ease the aversion to fishy smell. :P Fortunately, the owner loaned us the oyster knife which he sells for $15 to the customers *ouch*, hot sauce for $1.5, cloth (gloves works better though) and lime which we can't return. I guess we must look rookie to him of eating oysters right out of the shell by ourselves!!! lol haha........

Well, DH is really not so adventurous of eating them raw, so we decided to grill our 2 dozen oysters. :) I bought some charcoal and started this unforgettable experience of grilling oysters by the ocean.

Renee really enjoys the raw oysters though.

Renee's DH works hard for his treats!! haha...

You just need to find a crease of the shell and work your knife into it to open! :)
FYI: I am quite good at cracking the oyster open.

I had to dash lots of hot sauce and lime juice to enjoy it.

Niel enjoys the grilled oyster + lime juice so much and I am surprised that he had almost 3 oysters. :)

On the way home, we planned to eat at Point Reyes but all the restaurants (only couples there) are booked..... so we have to drive back to China town in SF city to have a real dinner.

Can you tell those are real TIES on the car!!!!!

This is a very nice restaurant but all booked!! :(

The best Chinese restaurant in China Town.

A teaser!

It was already 11 PM after driving ourselves home!

Superdrug Spree

While I was in town yesterday shopping with my other half, I popped into Superdrug claiming I was just going to "have a look around for a minute" so off he toddled to the menswear dept in a nearby shop and off I skipped to the makeup stands. Hurrah!
The first thing that caught my eye was a Loreal Studio Secrets stand promoting the Smoothing Resurfacing Primer and since I have seen countless YouTube vids and posts on this, I picked one up to try (it was on offer for £9.99).
I have to say that I was really disappointed by the tiny size of this tub compared to the price, it's a bit stingy! You can see how small it is from my pic where I'm holding it (the jar is 15ml). I know a little goes a long way but surely a 30ml jar would have been better to be comparable to other mid-end primers???

On first look, this primer is a marshmallow pink colour and has the weirdest texture...kind of feels spongey when you first touch it but then it melts into the skin and feel silky smooth...love that. I applid it yesterday before my foundation and I have to say that it really created a smooth, silky base that made my makeup go on like a dream. So all the ravings about this product are true. My makeup looked even and any shine on my T-Zone was eliminated by this product. I love how light it feels on the skin too. So overall, I'm loving this primer, I just wish they had been a bit more generous with the amount of product in the jar.

Next up, I made a bee line for the GOSH stand as I have wanted to try the Extreme Art LIners for ages. I picked out the steel grey and bronze colours (no.25 & 24). As I had been advised before, they liquid liners are very thick compared to what I'm used to using but I quickly learnt how to make this work for me. I used the steel grey colour last night and created a really great flicked out effect that was a bit more subtle than my normal black. I have to say that this liner definitely lasts the distance! It didn't budge AT ALL and that really impressed me as some liquid liners can transfer down onto your lower lashline in the inner corners of the eye. I'm looking forward to using the bronze one! I will definitely go back for more of these babies!

Next up I went over to the Bourjois stand and spied a liquid eyeshadow that I have wanted to try for a while. It's a more gold version of Beige Mettalique and I love it! The colour is gorgeous and just that little bit more gold. I love these eyeshadows so much, they last for ages and they are fantastic on their own or as a base...I wish they made more shades coz I would buy them all!
