Derek Lam Pre-Fall 2011

Bun it.

The bun has emerged as more than the cute up-do our mum's used to pull our hair into as children, now becomming the hair-do of choice for not only fashion houses everywhere, but celebrity's such as Billie Piper, Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Bosworth and Jessica Alba...just to name a few.
Whether you call it the ballerina bun, top knot, chignon or high twist, we love this look, and so do trendsetters everywhere!

High Technology -- GOOGLE TV!!

Yeah, gotta love everything in high fashion, high technology and high standard...ah, although clothes doesn't need a design specification prior to making them into final production but high technology certainly requires one.

We love Apple TV while lots of people didn't find it attractive nor practical (or just didn't know who to make the best use of it) but believe me, w/ the real time streaming, we can watch movies at home any time we want.

So after Apple TV, we bought GOOGLE TV. I am not a fan watch movies or Asia TV on our computer and I wouldn't want DH to hook the computer aside by our TV screen....... simply ugly!! We thought Google TV is a great alternatives. You can check emails while you are watching TV, all you need to do is to switch the monitor .... and input WWW...... URL address. Or go to FB....  How cool is that!!!

Photobucket
A key board controls everything.....your TV channels, and all other functions Google TV supports. (Did you see that I have a laundry basket there...while watching TV?).

Photobucket
Grr..you can't see it..but that "Applications" allows you go to GOOGLE there.

Photobucket
There you go!! ^^

Or, you can go read some news "The New York Times".

I forgot that I bought this ice mold on Halloween....

Let's kick back and have some "deadly" scrumptious smoothie!!
I find it is very convenient to make smoothies out of frozen fruits..but don't forget that you still need some juices to make smoothie ... smooth~

We are heading to Lake Tahoe this evening, so i guess i will see you all after the long weekend!

Have some healthy smoothie.

Hold Me

I think you will agree with me when I say the worst part of any trip is the packing, and makeup is no exception. So when I was given the chance to review a new makeup bag that promises to make the whole process a little easier I was very happy to try it out!
The design of the Hold Me case is fantastic as it incorporates features of a toiletries organiser, makeup bag and brush roll all in one. The exterior of the bag is made of a tough, black, suede-like fabric, which looks stylish and classic against the white stitching. I also like the fact that there are no tricky clasps, velcro or flimsy magnetic closures, but a simple self-tie, which means the bag can expand to fit more, or be tied tighter to take up minimal luggage space.

This is the Miss Suki bag, which features a fun, colourful cartoon design. The fabric is easy to clean as it is over-laid with plastic, so high altitude explosions of foundation can be quickly wiped away without fear of damaging the bag ;). I used this bag on my recent ski trip, and it worked perfectly as everything was in one place, on display and easily accessible. It also saves time unpacking once you have reached your destination and doesn't take up counter space. For once the bf had no right to complain about me monopolising the bathroom with all my little 'potions' ;).

So what did I bring with me? Below is my fail safe travel kit:
  • NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
  •  Bobbi Brown Corrector
  • NARS Laguna Bronzer
  • ELF Pink Mineral Blush
  • MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural
  • NARS Madrague Eyeshadow Duo (for brows)
  • L'Oreal Carbon Gloss liner
  • ELF All Over Colour Stick in Persimmon
  • L'ancome Hypnose Mascara
  • Clear Mascara
  • MAC Dazzleglass
  • YSL Tuxedo Lipstick
  • MAC Smokey Eyes palette
  • ELF Quad - MAC e/s vapour, wedge, scene and knight devine
  • Made from Earth Vanilla Lipbalm
  • MAC Cremecup lipstick

CHANEL
Les Perles de Chanel Makeup Collection for spring 2011

This makeup collection by Chanel was inspired by pearls which would embody the iridescent reflections of pearls.

The collection includes a new format of eye shadows – quints Ombres Perlees De Chanel

“CHANEL has created a tailor-made case to hold all of this magic. The classic black case becomes rectangular to contain five iridescent shades captured in a rich cream texture that glides smoothly over the skin. Blanc perlé, Rose porcelaine, Violine clair, Gris vert and Gris noir scintillant offer a bewitching odyssey with each sumptuous and capricious colour. The exquisitely fresh eye shadows are applied easily with the double-tipped foam applicator or fingertips. They can even stray from the eyelids to enliven cheekbones with a touch of shine.”

Poudre Universelle Compacte
Rose Merveille, a pale pink with subtle sparkles for a halo of light.
Joues Contraste
Espiegle, a silken rosy peach blush.

Rouge Coco
Jersey Rose, a pink that flatters all skin tones, to wear to your heart’s desire.
Peregrina, a delicate coral for the great outdoors.

Rouge Allure
Flamboyante, a rosy red that shimmers like a promise of happiness.
Coquette, a vivid, energising pink, steeped in radiance.

Le Crayon Levres
Framboise
Peche
Levres Scintillantes
Nakkar, an intrepid soda pink warmed by golden facets.
Aragonite, leaves a sheer finish of subtle pink and blue flecks on the lips

Le Vernis
Pearl Drop, pure and white in natural daylight, it reveals golden reflections under evening light.
Black Pearl, a pearly grey shimmering with deep blue and green reflections, like a black pearl from the Pacific.
Peche Nacree, a soft and feminine shade that opts for a tender bronze effect.

Les 4 Ombres
Regard Perle, a palette dominated by a trio of pale, sunny tones, waiting for a dash of sparkling anthracite green to reveal all the facets of their character.
Le Crayon Yeux
Gris Scintillant, gives a dramatic attitude to light eyeshadows and emphasises the sophisticated style of darker colours.

On this photo from Paris Fashion Week you can see the makeup being applied on Erin Wasson.

And here is the next nail polish which is called Black Pearl in bottle and on nails. Plus the final look of the models from the catwalk show...
