What normal people would do after surgery?

Rest!!! Normal people would rest right after their surgery as they need to gain back their energy and get a full recovery.

But not me. Not until I burn out my last energy and had to drag my feet home. haha....

The whole surgery takes about 45 min. for my left leg. I leave out the details of the operation as I am pretty sure a lot of girls would want the surgery just as much as I do. We all want our legs look glamorous under mini skirt, hot shorts,.....everything and I don't want scare them away w/ the poking part of finding the vein. (Ok, it hurts much more than having a blood-draw.) I just have to elevate my leg after long walk.

The anesthesia shots goes from my knee all the way to crotch after they found the vein. I lose count how many little shot they gave me.

My Doc. told me that I am the best dressed patient of the day!!! I don't know should I be happy about it or it is a sarcastic way of saying O My GOD to me. haha.... I know, they want to talk jokes to relax me!!

I told my Doc. that it is fun to watch the TV "Gray Anatomy" but it is not so fun to be at the reality side of the show.

I met Irene after the surgery. We went to shopping w/ my limping leg. haha.. My SA said that I am a hard-cored shopping woman!! (I think that's what she meant! ha..) I wore another hosiery over the prescribed one by Doc. so you cannot tell. But it actually hurts behind my smile!!

My ODJ!!

1. TOP:
  • Max & Co. denim sleeveless pleated dress
  • No brand Bias-cut cardigan w/ union jack pattern in the back
2. Bottom: Rainbow striped hosiery
3. Shoes: Max & Co. brown and off-white strap heels
4. Chanel distressed white reissue 227
5. Belt: RUGBY

How fun is the stocking!! I really like the cut of this cardigan!!

My son is w/ me while my 2 daughters and DH are resting at home.

Irene's daughter is so cute and I think she should receive the best dress of little girl reward too.

Smokey Eyes at Oscar De La Renta NY Fashion Week

Hi Beauties!

So here's another great look right off the hot runways of NY Fashion Week! The heat was definitely turned up at the at the Oscar De La Renta show as the models looked sizzling hot in their smoldering eyes.

The look was created by Makeup Artist Pat McGrath.

Here's the low down on how to re-create a sultry smoky eye look with defined brows, perfect skin and natural, glossy lips.

She began by lining the eyes with brown pencil, generously applying brown shadow to the lid and dabbing a touch of beige-gold shadow to the eye's inner corner. She finished with lots of Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara.

McGrath accentuated cheeks with a shimmering highlighter across the cheekbones. She suggested re-creating the bold eye look by using a dual-ended, bronze and gold eye shadow pen by Max Factor. Models' nails were done in Fed Up by Essie, a peachy neutral shade.

MAC Suggestions:

Brown Pencil: Teddy Eyeliner (this has some shimmer)

Brown Eyeshadow: Expresso

Beige gold eyeshadow: Gorgeous Gold, Goldmine OR Amber lights
Shimmering Hightlighter: Mineralize Skin Finish in SOFT & GENTLE

XOXO,
Awilda

Collaboration with gossmakeupartist

Wayne and I thought it would be fun to do a bright springtime look inspired by flowers. I chose this one for its vibrant, unusual, contrasting colours:

I came up with a really funky cut crease look:

Mercedes in Vintage NIKOLAKI

I was so excited to find out that two of the 7 models that were chosen have modeled for me and my collection, NIKOLAKI, at various fashion shows, including Smashbox Los Angeles Fashion Week. The first one is the gorgeous Mercedes, whom I have known for AGES!! In fact, she was one of my first 'muses" when I began my line back in 2003. She modeled in my very first LA Fashion Week show and it's always like "good ol' times" when we see each other! She is, as they say "good people".Fanning the Model Flame: Oscar Model Hopeful Gerren

And the other girl is a fabulous model named Gerren Taylor. Gerren modeled for me years ago for another fashion show I did where I showed my collection. I remember it vividly because she was THIRTEEN YEARS OLD, had braces, but was over 6 feet tall, and walked like a gazelle! The agency had sent her because she was a "new Face" and I immediately said to myself (and to her and her over 6 foot tall Mommie!) that she was going to go far! Of course, soon after that, she left LA and went on to model all over the world: At Paris , Milan and New York Fashion Weeks!
Good luck to all the Models ...ooops , I mean Oscar Escort Hopefuls.
