I love winged eye liner!

Winged eyeliner is probably one of my all time favourite looks...I love it coz you can be subtle with it or go all out and make it dramatic. You can also add it to a smokey eye for extra definition. I think it's such a classic look and a great way of making your eyes look bigger AND it looks amazing teamed with a nude lip! I am always on the look out for a good liquid liner. I gotta say that I still prefer the precise application of liquid liner rather than gel...maybe controversial but I think everyone has their preference on what works for them. I just find the colour is more dense with liquid liners and it's a lot easier to get a precise line. I'm loving Loreal Super Liner in Carbon Black (used in the pic) and also MAC Penultimate Liner (although that one does dry out very quickly. I'm on the look out for good bronze, brown, navy and pewter coloured liquid liners to mix up the look a little. I want to try out a navy smokey eye, a more intense bronze eye and a nice silver metallic eye too. I will be stocking up on products at the end of the month for these looks. Does anyone have any recommendations for liquid liners in various colours?

Tresemme 24 Hour Body Review

So the time has come to share my opinion of the Tresemme 24 Body Root Boosting Spray, Amplifying Mousse and Finishing Spray that I was lucky enough to get for free! I've taken some pics to let you see how the products worked for me.
The first product I tried was the root boosting spray - the results shown in the pic on the left. I just used it as a styling spray to blow dry my hair and it worked pretty well but the results didn't last that long (I sprayed all over and in the roots but maybe I need to apply more next time?). I wouldn't say it made a huge difference to the volume but it was a decent spray to use just to add shine and help straighten out my hair in general. It's a good everyday blowdry spray but nothing spectacular.
On the other hand, I would say that the mousse worked really well in adding a good bit of volume to the roots of my hair and the pic below was taken 12 hours after styling my hair (with no re-application!).
I felt like it gave my hair a good amount of body and movement without weighing it down or feeling sticky - my usually fine hair felt at least twice the thickness. It made my hair feel soft and natural which is something I really think is important, there's nothing worse than touching your hair and it feeling all stuck together and laden with mousse. All the products have a nice fragrance and the finishing spray worked well to add a bit of texture and shine. I just put my head upside down and sprayed the finishing spray underneath to create more volume. I also liked this product used in conjunction with the mousse. It didn't make my hair look too 'done' which is always good.
All in all the mousse was my favourite product and I reckon it would be really good for using before curling your hair, it would hold it without looking like you have a ton of product in your hair. I would definitely repurchase the mousse (and possibly the finishing spray) as it's good value for money and does what it says on the tin.

BECCA Cosmetics

That slogan is very effective on someone like me!!! I'm a bit of a perfectionist so it stands to reason that I would be the same with my beauty regime. I have been having a look at Becca cosmetics and quite a few products have caught my eye...although they're very pricey! Firstly as I'm obsessed with bronzers, I was drawn to the lighter shade they offer which is called Flamenco (£30). It looks like a really nice bronzer and I've seen it recommended in alot of magazines over the years. The next product I'm lusting after is the Shimmering Skin Perfector in Gold (£32 - a product with that name is bound to spark my interest!!!). I love any kind of brightening/perfecting illuminators and this one can be applied as a primer for your foundation, mixed with it or even just as a highlighter on your cheekbones. I also love the look of the Eye Colour Powder Shimmer in Damask (£17). The Eye Tint in Baroque (£17) is also a lovely beige taupe shade that would be perfect for a daytime neutral eye. It's waterproof and crease resistant, it's a cream to powder formulation. Lastly, a Glossy Lip Tint in Coconut Ice (£18) caught my eye, it's a gorgeous pastel pink gloss. The expensive prices have put me off for ages and I'm too scared to get anything in case it disappoints me. So, I'm reaching out in the hope that someone on here has tried Becca products before and can give me an insight into whether the brand is worth the money and more importantly, the hype?

CFDA Awards 2009: Nick's Picks for Best Couples and Best Model

CFDA: The Other Awards...CFDA Womenswear Designer of The Year Winners Rodarte with actress Kirsten Dunst (in Rodarte)

This past Monday, New York feted--and awarded--American designers at the annual Council of Fashion Designers of America/CFDA Awards, hosted by comedienne Tracey Ullman. It was an evening with models, fashion and accessory designers, society girls-about-town, editors and a celebrity here and there. The nominees for Womeswear Designers of the Year were Marc Jacobs, Narciso Rodriguez and Rodarte. Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte took home the prize--which is a great coup for the Los Angeles-based designers. The menswear Designer of the Year was a surprise tie, with Calvin Klein's Italo Zucchelli and Band of Outsiders' Scott Sternberg winning the trophy. Marc Jacobs won the "International Award".

Well, naturally, after looking at some of the photos, I decided to give out my own awards, mainly to the Best Couples and the Best Model (at the CFDA Awards). Enjoy:
