FOTD

Just a mega quick post to show you the look I did today with the gold shades in the Sleek Safari Palette. I used the lighter gold on the right hand side with the darker one next to it in the socket and along lashline. Mac Penultimate Liquid Liner and YSL Faux Cils mascara. I used Mac Lustre Drops in Sun Rush on my brow bones (getting addicted to this!!!)

This pic also shoes up the Joe Fresh Cheek Tint in Bronze alot better than the last photo I posted! It gives a lovely glow.

I am also wearing Chanel Glossimer lipgloss in no.3.

New Inspiratioin -- Cut-out Leggings n' Save!!

pic. courtesy of Shopbop.com
The other day, my friend, Isabel, called me and asked about what do I think of the look of distressed leggings!!

She once saw a girl wore Kain label shirt, Elisabeth & James blazer which is same as ours and rocked in this pair of distressed leggings. She is so inspired by the look!! However, she found out the leggings all cost around $110 to $125. Well, I must say, if we can do an experiment on our own leggings, I think we will save us half of the retail price. :) Besides, we will have one of a kind look of ourselves too.

Then, Isabel and I were talking about how to cut ourselves a nice pair of leggings and not showing too much of "crafted" work on our own. (Not that craft work is not good!!)

Here I go today!! I dug out this purple glitter leggings which I bought in Pairs last Nov. and cut couple slits of the style I like but reserve most of the leggings. The trick is you have to prepare a very sharp scissors and a pair of higher denier (thick and tighter) leggings. You have to wear them on to cut the desired places a small slit first. Then you decide you want to cut it more to the left or right!!

Isabel and I don't like too many tears which would look like a zombie or look like we just fell off the cliff. haha......I think this pair will go perfectly w/ my Kain Label tank too!!

So what do you think? Classic rock n' roll or posh eclectic? Do or Don't!!?

My ODJ.

1. TOP:
  • J Crew distressed gold tank (I got it bigger to cover my butt)
  • Kain Label tank
  • Elisabeth & James while ruched sleeves blazer
2. Bottom: Purple glitter leggings (bought in Paris)
3. Shoes: Diesel gladiator heels
4. Accessory:
  • Fallon cross/crystal/cone brass necklace from Barney's
  • Chanel 09 s/s multiple pearls w/ rhinestone necklace
  • Chanel 08 s/s metallic silver classic clutch
  • Chloe 09 s/s orange Sally
First, I try this safer look w/ Chanel pearl and classic clutch!!

I might just cut out more slits on leggings later on.

Then I am trying this posh eclectic look w/ cool necklace and Chloe bag.

Maybe not w/ the blazer!!

Maybe I can take off Chanel pearl necklace too!!

Prizes for Miss World contest

Hi everyone, me again!

I forgot to tell you all that I will be listing prizes for the Miss World contest as I get them over the next month so you can keep your eyes peeled for what will be up for grabs. I am excited to tell you that since Sleek sent me an extra Safari palette and Wonderlast lipgloss, I will be putting these into the prizepot!

The prizes will be a mix of high end and drugstore/pharmacy products and I'm going to try and make sure I have hair, make up and skincare products in there so there's a good choice. I can assure you now that it will be a bumper prize for whoever wins.

I haven't had any entries as yet but I'm hoping people will start entering soon. The deadline is the 31 July so there's still loads of time. It's open to everyone, regardless of where you live so come on girls, get glammed up, Miss World style and enter!

D & G Make Up - Seduced by an ad campaign

Have you ever been drawn in so much by an ad campaign that you just HAVE to see the products for yourself? The power of advertising! This campaign has been out for a while now by I still love the look and I also love their choice of model, the beautiful Scarlett Johannson. I like her curvy retro glam look. There are few celebrities who can successfully emulate the late great Marilyn Munro but I think Scarlett is one star who has the natural sexiness to pull it off.

As soon as I saw these ads I got excited about seeing what the make up line would be like. THEN I found out it would only be sold in selected stores in the UK (hardly any!). Boo Hoo :(
Because I always want what I can't have, I have perused the range just to torture myself. I love the look of the following. The lipstick in Perfection, which looks like a perfect creamy nude! I think this is the shade Scarlett is wearing in the pic. I also love the look of the lipstick shade Provocative...this could be a hit or a miss colour but I love how it looks.
The lipgloss colours look amazing too, like the Nude lipgloss! Isn't it beautiful? Let's take a moment to admire.....ok, I'm back!
The eyeshadow duos look gorgeous as well and I particularly like Stromboli, which incidentally is the name of a place I visited in Sicily on holiday a couple of weeks back. It's fate! ha ha.
I have heard that they stock these in Brown Thomas in Cork (That's in Ireland for all my international followers) so since I'm going there for a week at the end of the month (visiting my fiance's parents) I will definitely have to go and take a look! They have a Mac department there too so I will undoubtebly be looking at the Colour Craft collection while I'm there too. This could be an expensive holiday...
So, tell me, what ad campaigns have seduced you? Have you tried any of the D & G Make Up range and if so, what do you think of it?
