Max Factor Kiss Art - Lipfinity Liptints

I have always been a lover of liptints. As my lips are naturally pigmented I find them very easy to use and love the fact that they stay put all day through wind, snow and many a cocktail ;). I was therefore curious to try the new Max Factor Lipfinity Liptints that come in a handy felt tip form, and excited to introduce you all to the Kiss Art charity campaign in association with Macmillan Cancer support.

Max Factor are hosting an online auction at Ebay’s charity site (www.ebay.co.uk/ebayforcharity) on the 28th March 2011 where full proceeds will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Max Factor will have its own dedicated area on the Ebay site and the auction will last at least one week. The auction will feature artist, illustrator and celebrity pieces of art with a fun twist - all the pieces are created using Max Factor Lipfinity Liptint pens!

Although I wouldn't describe myself as inherently 'artistic' I have always loved art and to some extent that passion has transformed into makeup. Though when the bf offered to make me an illustration I was curious to see what he could create with two liptint pens! I should have really known... though I assure you I did not model for this boudoir scene lol. Let me know what you think of his imagination... hmm I mean design ;).
So they work on paper but what about the lips? The colours I was sent are perhaps not the ones I would necessarily have chosen, but I have enjoyed wearing both of them. The lip tints smell delicious and are very easy to apply as the product is dispensed through the applicator in just the right quantity, no drips.
The hard edges of the pen also make the application accurate and help to define the lips. I first tried this on the tube and surprisingly managed to 'colour within the lines', which unfortunately isn't always the case for my shaky hands when it comes to lipsticks!

Longevity is great as with any lip tint, though I did find them a little drying. Although I like the matte, natural effect of a lip tint I often reapply balm on top throughout the day, which does make the colour fade a little faster, but gives a glossy appearance and much needed moisture to the lips.

A quick sweep of number 4.

This photo highlights the fact that your lips must be in good condition to wear these or any other lip stain. Mine were a little chapped this evening after a day of sitting under the office aircon and braving the chilly wind outside, so you can see some of the colour has collected in the creases. This can easily be fixed with a little lipbalm, but just something to be aware of ;).

Have you tried Max Factor's Liptints? Are you a fan of lip stains? I do hope you all stop by Max Factor's Macmillan Cancer Support auction (www.ebay.co.uk/ebayforcharity) on the 28th of  March! Good luck and happy bidding! xxx

The Real Mugler...and His Muse: Designer Thierry Mugler and Jerry Hall

The Mugler Tough 80's Chic Power Diva Legacy Lives On:
And for 2011, it's now being headed by Lady Gaga's Stylist/Creative Director, Mr. Nicola Formichetti, and his co-designer Sébastien Peigné. This was the most anticipated show of Paris Fashion Week. The scene was Church-like; columns and long walkway. Models sauntered and struck DIVA almost-Drag-Queen poses. The word "Fierce" would come to mind as much as that word is soooo two years ago. Lots of very TIGHT suiting, shoulder pads that would rival a Quarterback, heels so high MANY a model stumbled (they really should have gotten Drag Queens, they might have done a better job!) and enough Latex to make 1000 Condoms. The B**** is Back. And in the form of Mugler Fall/Winter 2011. Oh, and did I mention Miss Lady Gaga modeled??

Style.com summed it up this way: The collective vibe as Gaga's magic spell dispersed and the crowd shuffled into the night was one of bemused disappointment. Backstage, though, was another story. There, Formichetti was surrounded by the kind of clamoring mosh pit you're more likely to associate with his collaborator. "Fun is making a comeback," he said. "Mugler was a fashion god for me. It was more than fashion, though, it was entertainment." In that regard—and it's not one you can dismiss easily in our wired world—Formichetti and co. nailed it. But will Gaga be available next season? Maybe so. Formichetti also informed us that his biggest fan has already "bought the entire collection in every color."

My Lunch Appointment Is Late: Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2011

For Fall/Winter 2011, Balenciaga Designer/Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière softened his muse: There were pretty flower print dresses and skirts folded and architecturally draped. There was knit mesh and leather jackets and a defined sense of playing with proportions. The shot of magenta, orange, and purples were fabulous--amongst the black. Just from seeing the photos and the runway video: I LOVED it! This is modern directional sportswear in a very LUXE high-end way. Ghesquière is way too cool for school--as they say.

H&M Lust List

The H&M Spring Accessories catalogue dropped through my door yesterday and brought with it a whole new micro list of lust haves!

I quickly noted the 25% discount advertised on the front of the booklet and for all you H&M fans out there, the code is 9052 and available until 20th March 2011.

I have my beady little ey on the following pieces from the Spring collection...

I love the colour of this dress and one shoulder numbers always flatter my broad shoulder and larger bust by cutting the top half of my body in two.  It's a great length and the layered detail is great for skimming over any less than toned parts of my figure!

I love the simplicity of this dress! I could team it with black tights for a daytime look or glam it up with a skinny sparkly belt and platform heels for night time.

I have been looking for some chunky platforms for the summer and these pale khaki ones could the perfect match for all the floral tea dresses I got recently.

I love delicate little scarves casually knotted around the neck...so Parisian! This scarf called out to me with it's delicate bird print.

I am not usually a massive fan of animal print but this floaty scarf could add a really nice accent to an outfit and at a totally baraginous price too!

I have always been obsessed with turquoise jewellery and it looks especially beautiful against white summery clothing.  So this chunky ring is well and truly in my sights!

I love how delicate the chains are on this nautical-inspired necklace.  The cute charms on it are tiny!

Another statement ring but this time in a pale coral shade...it must be mine!

What has caught your eye in H&M lately?

And my workout song of the week? Well lately I have been busting my ass on the cross trainer to Breakage 'Fighting Fire'.  His real name is James Boyle and he is drum & bass/dubstep producer from London.

What songs have been on repeat on your gym playlist lately?
