Nick Verreos on Us Weekly Fashion Police

Nick's giving "Fashion Tickets"
In case you didn't know, I am one of the "Fashion Police" for UsWeekly's popular end-of-the-magazine column. I've been a "Fashion Cop" for over a year now and I admit, it's a lot of fun, getting these photos and trying to come up with something funny and witty to say. Sometimes I achieve it and well, sometimes I don't.
Just in case you have been near an airport newsstand lately (or the Dentist's Office), here's a Three-for-one: Three past "Fashion Police" UsWeekly issues and my corresponding--and sometimes not-so-complimentary comments.

Red Heels and My Last Summer Hat!

As I know, 4 of my friends bought this pair of Sergio Rossi red buckle heels after I show them. The shoes is still available on line at Footcandy.com. I guess no one can resist that bloody true red, they look almost still wet on the patent leather.

Today I am wearing my Erickson glass necklace from Target and finally I have the guts to wear its matching earrings.

I swear my little Ilona dresses very well this morning when we were out. Just when I am about to put her in bed for her routine nap, my DH came home for lunch. So I think why not asking DH take today's ODJ for me. He claims that he is on a diet due to his dinning too often at Panda Express for lunch. I always ask him to bring a lunch box but I guess grab n' go is easilier for him. But, he finally realizes that home cooking is the best for both great taste and healthy concerns. haha.....

My DH went to practice Yogo once w/ me, although he likes the energetic feeling after one session, he is too lazy to keep it up. But since my yoga teacher even asked about him, I promise her that I will bring him back for Yoga class when we are back from Taiwan. :)

I bought those green apple top from J Crew on sale. They are lovely color and light fabric to pack to Taipei w/ us.

Long sleeves is for Abby, tank is for Ilona. I wish J Crew make them for adult too.

Hi, I am about to go to bed after saying "Good Bye" to Dad.

My ODJ

1. TOP:
  • Max Co. spaghetti strap tank
  • Marc Jacobs sheer black blouse
2. BOTTOM: Diesel white denim jeans
3. SHOES: Sergio Rossi red patent ankle buckle heels

Just in case you didn't know which red heels I am talking about. I have to one size and half for this pair.

4. ACCESSORY:
  • Designer, Erickson Bemon for Targe glass beads necklace w/ matching earrings
  • J Crew 3 straps gold belt
  • Sterling silver bangle
  • AUGUST straw hat
Before DH adjust the camera......Pic. exposures too much.

I don't know if the matching necklace w/ earrings are too busy around my head...lol.

I think I am done buying HATs, I have all kinds of hats to compliment my wardrobe now.

I just realized that Ilona has same red shoes as mine. hahha..

Anatomicals- Perfect hands and feet (just in case you're papped by heat).

Help the paw-
Do you never have to lift a finger to do anything? Have your hands never been in a washing up bowl? Do you never shake hands with anyone unless you're wearing white gloves? In short, are you HRH the queen of England? If you are, we'd just like to remind you that the corgis need a walk and to say that you have no need for this ultra soothing cream. If, however, your blood's more red than blue, buy tubes of the stuff. after all, look at all those dirty plates in the sink.

This hand cream is wonderfully rich, and a little will really go along way. It contains shea butter, sweet almond oil, vitamin E, green tea and licorice extracts, which make it deeply moisturising and perfect if, like me, you absolutely hate the feeling of dry hands (when my hands are dry I get that goosebumpy nails down a blackboard feeling). The scent is a little strange, but not off putting. It reminds me of E.L.F's all over colour sticks or sugar orange sweets from back in the day, but I would not describe it as overpowering and it fades quite quickly.

After using it for the past week my hands definitely feel soft and smooth. Since it is so rich I find it best as an overnight treatment as it does not sink into the skin straight away. It is not super oily, but there is definitely some residue left on my hands for a while (I personally like this as it continues hydrating), but while on the go it can be annoying, especially when turning those round door handles, as I found to my dismay :( hehe.

Soothing foot cream-
"I love you with the ferocity of an exploding thousand megaton nuclear bomb. your eyes are like deep pools I could jump naked into and save you from drowning. you are my rock, my pebble, my grain of sand on the beach of life where I dream of us walking hand in hand forever." if you think these lines are cheesy, take your shoes off after a hard day of being on your feet and you'll then know exactly why you need this ultra cooling, refreshing, soothing and deodorising cream. some new tights or socks wouldn't hurt either.

Feet- not a lovely topic to discuss as I generally think feet are horrible, but this cream does what it says on its wacky little box. It is a deeply moisturising and soothing foot cream containing vitamin E and peppermint oil with a refreshing mint scent.

With summer just around the corner it is time to make our tootsies presentable for strutting in sandals and wedges or even just lounging in flip-flops. This cream certainly helps to mend yucky cracked heels and other problem areas. Once again, I love to put this on after a shower or bath and just before bed to keep my feet looking smooth and smelling, well, fresh. I even used it on my legs as they started to flake a little when I got back from Dubai (silly sunburn) and it worked wonders. It is also good to use if someone is feeling generous enough to give you a foot rub ;).

This fantastic set, with 80ml of each cream, can be purchased on the anatomicals website for the very reasonable price of £3.50. I know, I was pretty impressed too! The site has a good, affordable range of products (made in the UK) and really funny descriptions/blurbs for each item. Just click on the link to have a giggle!

Upcoming review and new Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess range

I have to admit that ever since trying false lashes when I was about 16, I have been too scared to try them again. Basically the ones I used weren't very good and started peeling off mid way through the night...very embarassing when you're trying to project an air of effortless glamour. ha ha. That put me off false lashes...until now! Recent reviews of the new Eylure Girls Aloud lashes and the fact they have been hailed in magazines such as Glamour made me re-think my decision to always go natural with my lashes. I had a look on http://www.asos.com/ and decided that the Nicola ones were my best bet as they looked the most natural (aka the least scary) so I bought them. I was going to save them for a big event I have coming up but then decided that it may be a better idea to wear them on a general Friday night out in town to test how well they perform. So this Friday, I will attempt to face my fear! I will let you know how I get on and post a review next week!
I also wanted to find out if any one had tried the new Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess range? It looks so lovely and I'm dying to get the following stuff. Sand & Sea eyeshadow palette, Duo Tone Eye Pencil in Aqua/Teal, Luminous Liquid Bronzer and Shimmer Lotion. If anyone has already bought any products from the range, could you please let me know if they live up to all the hype? I wouldn't normally buy Estee Lauder but this new range has really taken my fancy!
