Winter White Glamor AND The Prettiest Christmas Tree ... w/ Christmas Gifts!!!

The YEAR OF 2009 is almost GONE!!

I always wear WHITE during winter season and just in time I had an inspiration from Chanel 09' look.

Skip the poncho, otherwise you will be a COPY CAT!! JK! :P

The key is to have a white sweater/sweater dress, a pair of WHITE hosiery and leg warmers which I got them couple seasons back and never thought of pairing them together until today!

I like to wear things my unique way...... Oh, yes, my personal style!!! ^O^

My ODJ!

 1. Top:
  • Earl Jean chain-link shirt
  • MNG white crew neck sweater
2. Bottom:  Orange Boss mini white jean skirt

 3. Accessory:
  •  Erickson Beamon for Target necklace n' earrings
  • BR distressed silver studs belt
  • White patterned hosiery (bought at Anthro. last season)
  • Beige color leg warmer (bought couple years ago)
  • Chanel 09' distressed white reissue 227
4. Shoes: Orange Boss two-toned mary-jane heels

I am so glad that I thought of this Erickson Beamon for Target necklace n' earrings this morning, and those clear/crystal accessories are a big thing for 2010 s/s runway as well.

All the pieces I kept for years and they are my classic in my wardrobe!!

Cathy and I went to Y-3 and I bought some pieces for DH as Christmas gift. They are having 30% off sale.

Cathy bought their signature RED sneakers, while I also got a white shirt for $54 (classic look forever) and a very cool legging w/ 3 Adidas signature strips at back of the calves!!!!! lol

We all love what Cathy did for her hair....braids!! :)

After our kids messed around at Y-3 store, we were off to Anthropologies!! Oh, the SA in Y-3 are very nice and they didn't give us white eye balls for our kids messing around ... hha.....

r - for me, Rachel ; s - for DH, Santo!!
But I didn't buy them...hahahaha.....  (30% off for $6 each, I bought for my friend instead.)

I prepared a little gift bag for my friend, Ann, who gave birth to her 2nd daughter one month ago and had her birthday couple days ago!! :) M is for her DH!!

Cathy and I were playing w/ those cute hair pins.... i love them but never really wear them!!
I put them all back to shelf after done playing! :P

For our age, enough is enough!!  Isn't Blair who eventually takes off her hair-band in the show to show that she is grown-up!!! :) Enjoy them while you can!!

Next.....then I saw this cropped cardigan and I can't get my hands off her. I love the color, the tartan style, and the intriguing embroidery.

This is such a cute cardigan and if you keep it well, it will be a classic piece in your wardrobe!!

I am thinking of giving this cardigan to Ann for her birthday gift.....oh, should I...cause' I like it so much myself too!!!! Oh...... would you want something like this for your birthday??!!!:)

The embroidery is so dedicate.  This cardigan would not need to do style at all, it yells out style for everyone who simply wears it!!!

Then we went back to our home.....kids still need their nap and I get to have time to blog about EVERYTHING!! :P I start wrapping gifts for DH, DD, DS and for friends as well. I suddenly realized that our Christmas tree need "PRESENTS" underneath, otherwise, it wouldn't be a Christmas Tree at all!!

I like the bird on the tree ornaments which would give the tree a little look of being alive!!

The star beings to tarnish but I think it gives a nostalgic whimsical look to the tree!

A Reindeer in the blow-glass!

I have couple more angels on our Christmas tree as well.

Just a thought, I read about "YES or NO on recycling gifts" on Simple magazine this month,  I must agree that I DON'T like receiving nor giving recycled gifts at all.
Well, one exception, if you think I can't tell it is gifted by someone else to you, or you tell me frankly that it is something that I might LIKE even it is gifted by someone else!!!!

Come on, people can tell if it is a gift from your heart or not!!!............... :)

It seems there is not enough Christmas gifts yet.......oh, MINE is all missing!! ho ho ho........ :P

Oh, gotta go wrap some more gifts for our gift exchange party!! :)

All I want for Christmas...

Following on from a post that Aleksis recently did which can be seen here http://alpha-blonde.blogspot.com/2009/12/all-i-want-for-christmas-is-youoooo.html, I decided to do my own list for Santa (although I will probably just buy some of them as a Christmas present to myself!).1) Blackberry Curve 8900 - I have been swithering about whether to get a Blackberry or an iPhone and the decision has now been made. Chris got one of these as a work phone and after a few minutes of playing around with it, I decided that I definitely wanted one. This will probably be a present I get for myself just after Christmas. Although I have been warned that it's called a 'Crackberry' for a very good reason...2) Skiing Gear - Myself and Chris will be going on our first skiing trip together in March and it's so exciting (although a part of me does worry that I will ski off a cliff or something!). There a big group of us going to Norway and you basically come out of the lodge straight out onto the slopes. This will be my first time skiing so Chris will be getting my skiing gear as a Christmas present. Even though I will be hitting the slopes as an amateur, I'm going to give it my best shot!

3) French Connection Crush Dress - I have been eyeing this dress up in the shops for a long time and I love that you can dress it up or down, it would look great with shoe boots or sandals. It's also SUPER flattering and I love the Barbie Pink shade...it's so me!4) Primark Microsuede Gathered Boot (£19) - So this one is cheap and cheerful but I love the look of these boots and I don't care that they're microsuede, if anything, that makes them easier to clean! The neutral mushroom shade would go with loads of things and I have to have them!

5) MAC - Ok, so maybe I don't need anymore makeup but because I feel like I have neglected MAC for a while and there's still loads of things I want to try from the brand, I may have to take a dip into it again (I don't trust anyone else to buy makeup for me...does that make me a control freak?!). I want to get Sable e/s, Satin Taupe e/s, Vanilla Pigment, Pearl CCB, the list really goes on and on...

FOTD using some new products

I've been struggling to keep my body from falling apart in the past week since I caught this stupid cold...I now have a chet infection so let's just say I'm not exactly feeling on top of the world! Now the weird thing is that 'normal' girls probably wouldn't have the energy or inclination to apply makeup if they're feeling crappy, HOWEVER, I find that putting on my makeup when I'm ill makes me feel just a little bit better. Probably because it makes me look half human again! Am I the only one that does that???I decide to use some brightening products to perk me up a bit...

Face: Estee Lauder Illuminating Base Primer, Korres Wild Rose Foundation (this seems to photograph REALLY well), Bobbi Brown Colour Corrector in Light to Medium Bisque, Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit in Cool Sand, MUFE Concealer Palette for blemishes (of which there are alot at the moment!), Korres Wild Rose Powder, Lancome Star Bronzer in no.2 lightly all over face, Giorgio Armani Sheer Bronzer to contour, MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle (on cheekbones), Jemma Kidd Creme Blush in Paw Paw.
Eyes: Benefit Brows A Go-Go Palette, Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow in RSVP (as a base), Front Cover Eye Spy Palette (Powder Puff all over lid, Burnt Toast on outer corner and in crease, Vanilla Ice in inner corners and on browbone), Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Bronze Shimmer (along top lashline), MAC Woodwinked e/s to soften eyeliner, Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara.Lips: YSL Lip Liner in no.17, Estee Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick in Vanilla Truffle, YSL Golden Gloss in no.1. I just wanted to give you a quick run down of the new products I used and what I thought of them so here goes...
YSL Golden Gloss - I love these glosses and this one looks especially festive! They really glam up your lipstick and even look amazing in the tube. The brush applicator is really good quality and just firm enough not to splay out everywhere. They are a great consistency and last alot longer than most glosses.
YSL Lip Liner in no.17 - I must say that I was quicte surprised by how dry this liner was, given that it's YSL. It doesn't go on very smoothly and you have to work in a bit to get the colour to show. I do like the subtle shade though and it's a great match for my lips. I hate it when you can see really obvious lip liner/when it's too dark.
Lancome Star Bronzer Compact in No.2 - I used to have this bronzer in the lighter shade and it was always one of my favourites so this isn't a completely new product for me, however, it deserves a mention because it's so fantastic! I LOVE this bronzer, it has a special place in my heart because it's moisturising, never goes patchy or streaks, can be used lightly all over or just for contouring. I love the packaging and you get a decent amount of product for your money. It has slight shimmer but isn't over the top and it gives such a pretty glow. This bronzer has HG status in my opinion.
Bobbi Brown Colour Corrector - I always suffer from dark circles under my eyes and this week they have been really bad since I have only been getting about 2 or 3 hours of sleep a night. This salmon pink toned product is designed to be applied before concealer to mask any blue/purple shades lurking under your peepers.
I applied a very thin layer and I would suggest that you only use a tiny amount as a little goes a long way. You don't want to overdo it as you have to layer the concealer over the top. I just used my fingers so warm the product and seamlessly blend it in. As you can see from the pics, it masked my dark circles really well and it didn't cake or settle into fine lines by the end of the day. I really like the consistency as it's thick enough to cover dark shades but not too 'cakey thick' where it looks obvious on the delicate skin around the eye. This product is fantastic if you suffer from the same problem.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will get over this chest infection sooner rather than later. I want to get on enjoying the festive season!
