A great website and some Ebay bargains...

Hi everyone, I was surfing the net last night and came across a website called http://www.fragrancedirect.co.uk/ as it stocks a sun protection range for hair that I was after for my holiday. The range I'm talking about is Joico K-Pak Sun Therapy. It's had some really good reviews and the shampoo, conditioner and protective sun milk (pictured left) are supposed to prevent your scalp from burning and also stop your hair getting frazzled. I'm going to test this on holiday for the first few days and then start using Keratase Soleil range and see which one performs better. The Joico range is alot cheaper and on the above mentioned website it has been discounted to £7.95 each (as opposed to £10.95 each). There are some really good discounts on this website and they stock brands such as NYX, which are sometimes hard to get hold of. They even have a page of 'specials offer' cosmetics like Maybelline bronzer for only £2.50! They also sell stuff like YSL Touche Eclat for £18.95 (original price £23.00). So it's definitely worth a look.

Following on from an earlier blog about the Eyelure 'Nicola' False lashes...I tried them last weekend and I spent around half an hour trying to get them on and failed miserably. When I did get them on (granted the ends wouldn't stick down properly because I had applied the glue so many times over), they just looked ridiculous on me. I decided in the end that false lashes just aren't for me and I'm going to work with what god gave me. I'm not saying these lashes aren't good, because I am a novice and in no position to judge. I would say that they weren't the best eyelashes to try for the first time and maybe not suited to amateurs.

I was Ebaying yesterday and managed to win myself three items, which I'm excited about. The first is MAC Cream Colour Base in Shell, which wasn't available on the MAC website when I was looking on there. I won it for £7.20 (inc p & p) so I was chuffed about that. The next item is a Lancome Juicy Tube Smoothie in Simmer. I got a trial size of this when I was in New York on holiday a few years ago. I loved the colour but when I got back, I realised that you could only get it in America :(

I tried to get it on Ebay for ages but it never seemed to turn up...until now! I saw a full size tube and snapped it up for £4.50 (plus p & p). I have posted a pic of the colour on the left. It's a lovely pink lipgloss shot with gold and looks great with a tan.

I also won an Almay Glow Skin Brightener in Natural (a pearlised oink shade). I used to use this when I was younger and I'm not sure if it's still available to buy in shops. It's a great primer for make-up and really makes your skin glow, as the name suggests. I am excited to try this again.
I will let you all know how I get on with the Ebay products when i receive them!

Day 1 In Taipei!

E. CHUANG SHIAO RD. TAIPEI

Today is Day 3 after we arrived in Taipei and I guess I should catch it up w/ blogging next couple days. DH is in Indonesia having a meeting right now and recruit some people there. He will join us in Taipei on Fri. Before then, w/ my parents' help, I think it won't be too hard to take care of my 3 children by myself in Taipei.

I never had jeglag as I remember, I always adjust myself pretty good in every time zone. I went to buy some saline for my DH's contact lens and some nipple sticker for my friend, Pei. at 9 AM in Watson's store. In Taipei, or I should say in Asia, all the street vendors are already doing business and you can shop for anything you need. So I already spend $US 15= $NTD 450 on a one piece dress already after 3 hours landing in Taipei. lol

In Asia, almost everyone carries an umbrella to protect themselves from the sun. I am no exception!!!! :P I carried my Chanel black mini flap w/ me to Taiwan. IT is my best travel little bag ever!!!

We went to the newest opened SOGO department store and I stopped by Chanel and Hermes. I found Chanel carried different style which I've never seen it in USA. However, this trip I have no mood of shopping for Chanel. As for Hermes, everyone knows it is almost as impossible as climbing onto a sky to buy Birkin or Kelly in Asia, the waiting list is mile long and the SA say the special order takes 5 to 8 years to fulfill. Or even worse, you might not even have it. Anyway, I am never a crazy dude to want something that bad and have to have it right away. But to my surprise, I saw my idol, Shi-mei Leng, who is a popular singer in Taiwan. I remember my DAD bought me her album when I was in middle school. She becomes even more successful in acting later on in her show biz career.

I am very nervous as taking pic. w/ my idol. She is very kind of willing to take pic. w/ us.

Hope she won't mind me posting the pic. here.

Birthday Blues

It was my boyfriend's birthday on Thursday so I created this romantic, flirty look to go with the light blue dress I was wearing. Since my bf doesn't like too much makeup (I guess he picked the wrong girl, right?) I decided to make it quite light, but add some drama with a defined crease and some eyelure lashes.

Pay day is coming!!!

I'm already thinking about what I want to buy and payday isn't until Thursday! I have to save alot of it to go towards my spending money for my holiday to Sicily in June but I have portioned off some of it for cosmetics! I have been thinking about what I want to update my make-up collection with. Some of it is expensive and some of the items are products that are cheaper and have by recommended by other bloggers (Lollipop26 and lipgloss86 to name a couple). Ok, so my list for MAC is:

Eyeshadows - Omega, Gleam, All That Glitters, Carbon & Print
Lipsticks - Hue and Pretty Please
Blush - Well Dressed

The cheaper stuff I want to buy that has been recommended is:

GOSH Velvet Touch Primer
Eyeko 3 in 1 Beauty Cream
Prestige Baked Bronze Mineral Powder in St Tropez and Pure Shimmer

I am also going to be getting the Keratase Soleil shampoo and conditioner to protect my hair on holidays but as I will be spending a fortune already, I thought I would try a drugstore brand of sun protection spray. I heard there are ones by John Frieda, Lee Stafford and Mark Hill (has had good reviews). Has anyone tried any of these and are they any good????

I did have my eye on the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks and new Bobbi Brown shimmer brick but they are way too expensive for me to think about getting this month...I'll roll them over to next month's list!

Oh and another thing...I have been watching tutorials by Kandee Johnson, the american makeup artist on youtube. I love the looks she does and she seems like the sweetest and most excitable person on the planet!
