Making a Statement !

Photobucket

Photobucket

Thursday is no longer my busiest day in a week, kids' extra-curriculum activities are spread out from Monday throu. Friday. Still, I have to drive back and forth between kids' classes and home all afternoon.  Therefore, recently I found myself totally neglecting the hanging sign " REMOVE THY SHOES" above our entrance and rushing in and out of the house w/ shoes on.

Now I certainly have to mop/vacuum our floor more frequently than usual.

Photobucket
Yeah, it is just too much trouble to buckle and unbuckle my shoes everytime I enter the house.

My ODJ.

1. CNC costume national black dress w/ ruffle and deep V in the back
2. Theory mauve/ green suede blazer (Second hand find last year)

3. Accessory:
Sonia Rykiel Swarovski crystal Owl brooch as necklace
Some brand crystal tassel necklace
URBN Croc embossed belt w/ bow
Proenza Shouler PS1 clutch in mustard yellow

4. Shoes:
Pierre Hardy platform Sandal in olive/gray/black

Photobucket

I feel that Pierre Hardy Sandal is almost too chunky for this dress (although, thank to its ruffle at side and back for more voluminous details) so I stack necklaces and thick suede blazer to balance the whole look!

Stepping Into Fall in Mustard Yellow and Orange!! Plus, Chanel Nail Polish 509 PARADOXAL!!

So I heard that Chanel nail polish 509 PARADOXAL eggplant shade is not quite flattering,  NOT EVEN ON ME!! But some of you know me enough that I'd try my best to make things WORK FOR ME! ^O^

Stubborn that I am!!

Today, I dug out my very first Christian Louboutin Very Prive sequin heels in deep navy/purple. I was thinking perhaps the purplish sequins could "highlight" that iridescent purple nail polish on my toes better to coax it doing the work of "flattering" MOI!!!

Then I think it worked!!!

Photobucket

Photobucket
What do you think? (Pardon those veins!)

Photobucket

Photobucket
There I had very bright ORANGE polish on.... keep the FUN! ^^

Photobucket
Doesn't Pei look adorable there!!!

I always amazed how detail that Pei would pay attention on her every single piece, the layer, the color matching, the bag and the boots!
Kudos to her!

Photobucket

Photobucket
Yu and I both had orange and yellow accessories.... pure coincidence! ^O^

Don't we look like sisters again!!
People tend to be confused by us two...in the gym, on the street, in the shop....whenever we are trying shoes or clothes!! haha~~~

You know how people eventually distinguish us two apart...by counting the number of our kids!! hahahahah...

I had a great great time on my birthday today!
And big thanks to everyone who stops by my blog and please remember to come by often!

Family Reunion....My Camera Man is Here Now! ^^

Do you notice my style changed when i am in Taipei?

Perhaps not!!! ^O^ But I do my best to distinguish my style from the majority in Taiwan. Like my friend said, the style of 矽谷. Well, who knows what does that mean!! lol

Hubby and my son finally joined us from SF this morning, thus both my camera men are back in their position. :P
To help Niel adjusting the jet lag and curb the tendency of sleeping through the day, I signed up swimming class for him. So the first thing after he got off from the plane is ...... go swimming!!!

Photobucket
Niel is still a rookie in swimming :P.

I notice that stripes and little floral prints on clothes are omnipresent sold in the stores and worn by people in Taipei.  Resistlessly, I bought this stripes dress along w/ this asymmetrical collared blazer at a. Fad. the other day.

Photobucket
Perfectly go w/ my Chanel 226 black matte reissue! ^^

Photobucket
A casual wear!

Photobucket
A dressier look:
W/ long green legging n' YSL tribute heels.

Photobucket
I also bought couple interesting colored leggings at a. Fad. (台北市敦化南路一段161 巷11號Plum and mustard colors.

I learned a lesson from this back home trip: Next time, it is not necessary to pack clothes back to Taipei.....everything is uber-fab here.  No matter it is high fashion or street chic or mix n' match, the stores have them all!!!

I should say we are lucky that instead of being sticky and smelly in Taipei, the rain does cool down the temperature a lot and I don't have to apply sunblocks all the time.

Photobucket
That looks like a casual suit I was wearing.
  • Tsumori Chisato pale pink blouse
  • nylon blazer w/ little shoulder patches imported from Korea
  • Helmut lang boyfriend shorts
  • Sam Edlem taupe gladiator sandal
  • Proenza Shouler PS1 yellow clutch

Photobucket
Top:

  • Michael Angel digital print sheer tank
  • limedrop cloud print silk twill cardigan w/ pleat

Bottom:
short jeans

Accessory:

  • Chanel 10' rose flip flop
  • Proenza Shouler PS1 clutch (not shown in pic. )

Nothing beats the happiness of having dinner w/ family!! ^O^

Have a well-planned week!

Karen Walker專櫃(誠品信義店) -- Going on Sale in July!!

The moment I saw Karen Walker's boutique in Taipei, I had to manage myself to remain composed in front of the SA! ^^   So excited!

Photobucket
sexy blouse...

Photobucket
You probably remember one of the signature print of this year on the tote bag.

Photobucket
The store manager, Jerry, took those cute stuffed vegetable/caterpillar for Ilona to play w/ while I shop and take pictures. ^^

I have been a fan of Karen's retro, bold and bright-colored sunglasses but dare to buy w/o trying it on first.  To my regret, they sold out all the 09' round style and nothing left for me...except for this style of Dandy 08' tortoise that suits me.

Photobucket

Photobucket
The arrow at side has always been her signature.

Photobucket
Then I go home w/ this quirky poncho....which I already have million ways of wearing it. ^^

Photobucket
The manager, Jerry, is very kind that he gave me this orange t-shirt decorated w/ the print of a broken pearl necklace as a gift!! ^O^

Jerry certainly knows a smart way of doing business as well as boosting the sales. As for me, happily accepted the t-shirt and decided to do a free ad. for them and for Karen Walker!! It's not just the media holds the power of being boundary-less but also words have been spread out that they are going to have a sale in July!!!
Photobucket
I am glad that I still can concoct a presentable ensemble from head to toe from my very limited wardrobe in Taipei.

(I should pull down my socks a bit more...haha..)

My ODJ.

  • Erin Kleinberg boy friend tee
  • black blazer w/ rear-side pockets

2. bottom: karen walker poncho wore as skirt

  • karen Walker Dandy tortoise sunglasses

4. Shoes: Anne Valerie Hash brogues

Those pictures are so hilarious that I didn't ask my girls to pose w/ me but they all did anyhow!! lol

Photobucket
This is the rear-side pocket of my blazer which has 2 slits at each side.

The long blazer is from a Taiwanese designer.

Leather Skirt and Skincare Ritual!!

I think it is safe to say that all the leather byproduct such as leather jackets, leather tanks, leather vests, leather capes (hum...I'd love to have one), leather pants (shorts, any sort), leather skirts, leather hats, leather gloves..... are wardrobe essentials.

I had a pretty inspiration from her outfit.  (A super beautiful model, and a photographer)I don't have a leather shorts yet but I so much want to get one now!! :P

Today we took kids to SF zoo and had a great time w/ Renee's family again. The difference of this time from last week is hubby came along and we had a great food in B STAR restaurant!!!

 Photobucket
It is located between Clemence and 2nd, 3rd st. of SF city!

Photobucket
The very special salad that I never had before is Tea Leaf salad... the tea imported from Burma.

Photobucket

The very dark..... olive green stuff is TEA.... they will mix every salad in front of you!!

All the food is wonderful and I will let yourself to explore when you are in SF city!!!

Photobucket

I thought that my skin gets brighter and brighter (even skin tone) these days and I'd love to share couple things w/ you!!
(ps. no foundation, no compress powder anything, only NIA 24 sunblock mixed w/ Lara Mercier tinted moisturizer as the base)

Photobucket
Those 3 things are my current ritual skin regime ....
The DDF, Chantecaille, and NIA 24 mineral niacin sunblock (which Oprah highly recommended)!!

Try them if you like.
I have almost done my packing and will share w/ you tomorrow!
Good day.
