"Models Of The Runway" walk the Inglourious Basterds Red Carpet--and one of them wears NIKOLAKI!!

Glorious Models!Find the NIKOLAKI: Model Lisa Blades (center, in fuchsia pink) wearing NIKOLAKI on the "Inglourious Basterds" Red Carpet Hollywood Premiere

First things first: As we all know (or should know by now!), Project Runway premieres on Lifetime August 20Th (that's just a little over a week from now and I can't wait!). Secondly, we also now know that not only are the designer contestants going to be the "stars", but for the first time ever, so will the models. Last night was the Red Carpet Hollywood Premiere of the much-awaited Quentin Tarantino film, Inglourious Basterds. And guess who was invited: The Models of the Runway!Six of the models, Fatma, Ebony, Kojii, Katie, Tanisha and Lisa attended--most of which reside in LA, since that is where the premiere was occurring. One of them, the gorgeous (and very tall) Lisa Blades wore a dress from my NIKOLAKI collection, a fuchsia and black silk duchesse mini- dress with puffy sleeves. You can see her in the center of the above photo. I happen to think she looked STUNNING! But, of course, I'm a bit biased. Her hair and make up was very Balenciaga Paris runway show!Statuesque Beauty: Model Lisa Blades in NIKOLAKI celadon silk crepe and turquoise silk shantung gown with vintage Swarovski brooch

If you want to check out more of Lisa--and the rest of the models--you can go to the great Lifetime Network Project Runway/Models website and see Lisa's "photo portfolio", some of which include her wearing more of my NIKOLAKI dresses and gowns. She was one of the models featured in my Spring 2009 Look Book and website, along with Season 3 Project Runway Model Amanda Fields. I guess I can pick them well!

This week's wishlist

This week, the products I have mostly been lusting after are...

Lise Watier Portfolio Corrector Concealer Wheel £17.64 - it is designed to correct and conceal skin tone irregularities and under-eye circles. The green shade is for redness and the lilac for dullness. It contains chamomile, Vitamins E and C. Ever since seeing Kandee The Makeup Artist use this for one of her looks on You Tube, I have wanted it!!!
Laura Geller Spackle Tint & Glow £17.64 - I also started coveting this after I saw Kandee using it. Basically the main pot contains a tinted bronzing primer to brighten your complexion, give you a golden glow and create a smooth base for makeup. THEN (and this is the bit I love!) the top compartment flips up to reveal two sheer cream highlighters called Icy and Rosy to apply to your cheekbones and browbones. It's a multi-tasking product and I MUST have it!
Tarte Natural Beauty Green Siren Cheek Stain £17.00 - Yet another product recommended by Kandee (are you beginning to see a pattern emerging?...ha ha) - This is a really subtel sheer berry gloss. It has 100% skin loving ngredients to care for your skin as you wear it. I don't normally wear bright blushes or cheek stains but when I saw this applied to Kandee's skin, it was so glowy and gorgeous...I may be a convert!
Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadows/Liners £14.00 - I have seen a few bloggers raving about these cream eyeshadows and I am really keen to try them out. I love the kind of eyeshadows that are like MAC Paint Pots. They are creamy to apply, create a great base for powder shadows, come in different finishes and they last all day. Perfect! I am definitely coveting the shades RSVP, Birthday Suit, Flatter Me, Tattle Tale and Skinny Jeans.
Chanel Bronze Universal de Chanel £35.00 - I've seen the likes of Belle Du Jour raving about the natural healthy glow and bronzing qualities of this product. I must admit that I've never been a huge fan of Chanel makeup...for such a high end brand, it always seemed to disappoint. This could possibly be their saviour though and at such a hefty price, you would hope so! I love bronzing products and this is high on my list of products I will be getting with my next pay cheque!
So what products are you coveting at the moment?

Elain Colorist Perfect Finish Primer

Another one of the products I was sent from Elain Colorist was their Perfect Finish Shimmering Primer. I was sent the purple one which claims to "moisturise the skin and create a soft and even surface before applying your foundation. It subtely corrects skintone and helps the skin retain moisture". This primer is good for anyone who suffers from uneven skintone and redness. I have naturally rosy cheeks and I'm always trying to tone them down, this is why I'm not a blusher maniac because I have a natural flush to my cheeks. This primer has SPF20 to protect the skin. You only need to apply a very small amount for the whole face as seen below.

It spreads and blends well and starts off looking very opaque at first (which did scare me a bit!)

he more you blend it in, the more it creates a fresh, luminous base for your makeup as seen below.

You can see the effect it gives my skin below (I'm only wearing foundation on my face in the pic below and some simple eye makeup)

My overall thoughts on this product were that it was easy to apply, blended quickly and didn't feel slippy on my skin. It seeped right in and created a good base for me to apply my foundation. My foundation also blended in very quickly. The primer just evened out the colour of my cheeks in a really subtle way and gave a luminous glow that lasted all day. I really like this for days when my skin looks a bit dull and I will definitely keep using it. It will be added to my growing collection of primers (to which only the best primers are added!)
This primer can be found on the Elain Colorist website, which is http://www.elaincosmetics.com/

Contest Winner

It took me ALL weekend to come up with the overall winner for my Miss World contest. I loved all of the entries and really appreciated all the effort that was made. I wish I could make you all winners! There will be an overall winner and two runner up's. So I can officially announce that the winner is...

Vivian a.k.a PiggyVivs@Electryfying Beauty!!!!

Well done Vivian! I was so impressed by her ingenius idea to make her tiara into the shape of Australia! Now that patriotism for ya! From the sash to the flowers, she really went all out for her contest entry.

Hold on though, there's still two runners up to announce....

Runner Up no.1 is Moggalicious

Runner Up no.2 is Lorla

They will both receive a mystery prize each!

I felt really bad having to choose the winner and runners up because all of you made a real effort to make the contest fun, so thank you to everyone who took part :)
