Pink hair, Origins, Elemis & Benefit

Don't worry, I haven't gone crazy with the hair experimentation! It's just a wig!

I was at my good friend's party/night out on Saturday and the theme was 'Class, Cocktails & Crazy Hair'.  Basically everyone was asked to wear their best party-wear & don a wig.  I was shocked at how much attention you get JUST from wearing a coloured wig! Everyone seemed to want to borrow it but I was reluctant to take it off my head by the end of the night because my own hair was a sweaty mess underneath!

It was such a fun night though and we were all in stitches watching each other try on different wigs.  Happy Birthday to Nassim today...have a good one dear friend!

This week's skincare has involved using a brand new product for me, an old favourite I had neglected for way too long and a primer that I initially wasn't sure about.

The fabulous skin trio for the past week has been...

Origins Make A Difference Skin Rejuvenating Treatment
Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream
Benefit The POREfessional

After using these three products together, I got the softest, smoothest and most flawless skin I have ever experienced.  I applied my Estee Lauder Double Wear with my fingers as usual and my skin looked airbrushed.  Even the hubby commented on how good my skin looked.  I have been wearing this combo for the past 4 days and here's how it looks (please note that as with all my pictures, there have been NO alterations made to this pic to give the truest representation):

So to break the products down for you, I will talk about the Origins Make A Difference Skin Rejuvenating Treatment first:

It takes a lot for skin care to blow my mind, but this stuff really made an impact on the way my skin looks.  I generally have pretty good skin but, like everyone, I have good and bad skin days.  Lately I had felt like my skin needed a brightening boost and within just 3 days of using this treatment morning and night before my moisturiser, my skin looked and felt amazing.

"Origins clinically proven plant complex including the Rose of Jericho, Trehalose, and Cactus Extract prepare your skin for maximum repair and help it rebound from dramatic dehydration. And Padina Pavonica helps improve the appearance of damage done by UV and environmental exposure".

The texture of this treatment is like a serum/gelee and it smells absolutely gorgeous with a fruity and refreshing scent.  It's very light in consistency and melts into the skin instantly, leaving your skin feeling silky soft.  After just three days my skin feels incredibly smooth! I can't stop touching my face!

If you haven't tried any Origins skincare products then I would highly recommend you try this, the Brighter By Nature High Potency Brightening Peel or the High Potency Night-A-Mins Moisturiser.  This is the limited edition pink ribbon version which supports the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  It's £21 for a 30ml jar and you can get your hands on this wonder serum here.

Now I have spoken about this moisturiser before but for some reason, god knows why, I stopped using it.  I think it's probably because some skincare products have to be used in cycles to stop your skin becoming too used to them.  I had forgotten just how amazing Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream was.

This stuff is my perfect day time moisturiser because:

1) A little bit goes a long way
2) It transforms the texture of your skin within a week of usage
3) It's so light in consistency and makes a great base for make up

The only downside of this cream is that it costs a massive £76.60 for a 50ml jar! Yes, very expensive! BUT, what I normally do is buy a 15ml tube in a gift pack such as this one for just £29.90 and that way you get two other products.  By the time you have finished the 15ml tube, your skin will probably be used to the product and you can switch to another day moisturiser.  By using it in phases, it seems to make it more effective on my skin.

I wasn't so sure about this pore-minimising primer when I first tried it.  It seemed to be similar to the Jemma Kidd Skin Rescue Bio Complex but I didn't like it quite as much.  BUT, I persevered using it in different ways because sometimes, it's just about finding out how the product will perform with different moisturisers underneath etc.  I have found that the Origins, Elemis and Benefit combo is the best one and the result is totally flawless skin.

This silky, lightweight, flesh coloured balm is designed to fill in your pores without blocking or breaking out your skin.  It's oil free so it allows your skin to breathe.  It's particularly great for times when you want a really matte look without making your skin look dull or cakey (you can see how it looks on my skin in the pics above).  On Saturday night, it helped to keep my face softly matte all night and even after hours of dancing and walking in the rain on my way home, my skin still looked flawless.

It's £23.50 for a 22ml tube, click here to buy.

Hearing this LMFAO song reminds of Saturday night and some of the hilarious dancing that went on.  I have no doubt the video will make you laugh as well!

I had a look in Oasis last week and was pleasantly surprised by what they had to offer.  I used to like shopping there but over the past couple of years, they just seemed to lose their direction and I always came out of the store uninspired.  However, one item I loved was this Cobalt Blue Faux Leather Trim Belted Drape Wrap Coat for £95.

My mum instantly got me to try it on and announced she would get it as one of my Christmas presents...which means I can't have it until Christmas! Torturous! It's made out of THE cosiest material...a mixture between felt and very soft wool.  I love the faux leather detailing too...can't wait to wear it!!!
