Lady Gaga Egg, Rihanna White Tulle, and Nicki Minaj's Cougar Town: It's Grammys 2011 Red Carpet Fashion Wrap!
Making The (Fashion) Band: TV Guide Grammy Awards Fashion Wrap Team: Clockwise, Nick Verreos, Kim Vo, Kara Birkenstock, Host Lawrence Zarian and Jen Rade
On Monday morning, I had an early "Call Time" to shoot my "Grammy Awards Fashion Wrap" at the TV Guide Hollywood & Highland studios. I was revv'ed up and ready after watching the show the night before and--along with my "research partner"--doing all my "Grammys Fashion Homework". It also helped that I was doing a bit of my own "Live Blogging The Red Carpet" as well on Sunday night.
Our "Fashion Wrap" set was all done up with lovely flower arrangements with strategically placed musical instruments. Hello: It's the Grammys!
Grammy's Trois-some: Jen Rade, Lawrence Zarian and Nick Verreos, TV Guide Grammy Awards Fashion Wrap set
Along with our "Rocker Host", Mr. Lawrence Zarian--giving you leather jacket, graphic tee, and silver belt-chain accessories--I was joined by my "Fashion Team Girl" Stylist Jen Rade, Hair Color Guru Kim Vo and Shoe and Style Expert Kara Birkenstock.
We had a lot of fun agreeing--as well as disagreeing-- on the looks we saw on the Grammy Awards Red Carpet the night before. We all agreed on "Ricky Martin: What were you thinkin'???" and when it came to Rihanna's Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture white-and-sheer tulle gown, well....you will have to click below to see...

The interview ended up as part of this month's program entitled "The Art of Rodarte: Black Swan and Design for the Movies"where Frances discusses Academy Award-nominated film "Black Swan" and also interviews Rodarte Designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy. I was humbled and honored to have been part of this great DnA program.

Dinner With The Boys: Jason Wu Fall 2011
Style.com's Nicole Phelps noted that "We lost count somewhere around 90 when we tried to tally the photographers in the pit at Jason Wu's Chelsea show today. The designer's rise has been fairly meteoric, thanks in part to Michelle Obama, of course. But it struck you, looking at his Fall collection: The clothes are legitimately living up to his outsized reputation.".
From the runway photos and video--the collection was meant for a younger Lady Who Lunches. She also does Cocktails, Galas, and she BETTER be seen in Vogue Magazine's "Flash" section...or else her pr person will hear about it! Lots of man-tailoring super-skinny sized. Lace and transparency, embellishment and high HIGH slits in the last gowns. Bow ties are the new "Statement Necklaces". Oh and it all looked very Alber Elbaz-meets-Yves Saint Laurent (the Genius not the brand). Love the tulle-and-lace face veil, by the way!

El Wrap Dress: Diane Von Furstenberg Fall 2011
For Fall 2011 Diane Von Furstenberg's Collection was named "American Legends", referencing to Style Divas such as Milicent Rodgers, Gloria Vanderbilt, Diana Vreeland, etc. From the Gaucho-esque wide-brimmed hats to the metallic Disco stylings and pops of turquoise, red and in-your-face prints, it all looked more like a Party in Buenos Aires or Marbella circa 1979. I would say Naty Abascalwould be a closer Muse than the ones named above. There were tunics, high-slit skirts, transparent Bishop-sleeved blouses and yes, more YSL nods. Here are some highlights:
